Patent number: 11831223Abstract: A motor controller includes an actuator and a programmable wheel. The actuator includes first and second conductive rods configured to receive external electric power. Each rod has upper and lower rod contacts. First and second crisscrossed electrodes are movable between, and electrically connectible to, the upper and lower rod contacts. A power terminal is electrically connected to the crisscrossed electrodes. The programmable wheel has first and second directional appendages mounted thereon. The wheel is configured to engage the actuator such that for each revolution of the wheel: the first directional appendage moves the crisscrossed electrodes into electrical contact with the upper rod contacts to route the electric power to the power terminal at a first polarity, and the second directional appendage moves the crisscrossed electrodes into electrical contact with the lower rod contacts to route the electrical power to the power terminal at a second opposing polarity.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2023Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Inventor: Elliott Baker

Publication number: 20110270701Abstract: In one embodiment, active recent bidders in a bidding fee auction are displayed in a region of a graphical bidder interface. Each bidder in the set of active recent bidders is displayed in a single graphical bidder element, or avatar, in the region. In response to receiving an event, an activity level and a recency measure for each bidder in the bidding fee auction are generated. Bidders are removed or added to the set of active recent bidders based on the activity levels and recency measures of the bidders. Avatars corresponding to the bidders are added or removed from the region.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2010Publication date: November 3, 2011Inventors: Benjamin Joseph Black, Maxwell Robert Newbould, Andrew Frame, Babe Elliott Baker

Patent number: 4042889Abstract: An output stage and feedback circuit for a buffer amplifier are disclosed. The output stage protects an operational-amplifier circuit preceding it from overvoltages appearing at the load. The circuit includes a pair of complementary transistors in a push-pull arrangement that sources and sinks current to and from the load. Both the transistors are in common-emitter configurations, and each one has a corresponding diode connected between its collector and the load in an orientation opposite that of the collector-base junction. The diodes prevent the reverse current that would otherwise flow in response to an output overvoltage of the polarity that forward biases the collector-base junction of the transistor, and the over-voltage is thereby prevented from being seen at the operational-amplifier output terminal. Overvoltages of the other polarity are not seen because they reverse bias the base-collector junction.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1976Date of Patent: August 16, 1977Assignee: Combustion Engineering, Inc.Inventor: Roxton Elliott Baker
