    Abstract: A portable utility light comprises a first housing portion, a second housing portion, and a light-emitting source disposed in the second housing portion. The first housing portion has a first end rotatively coupled by a joint to a first end of the second housing portion. The first housing portion is rotatable about the first end of the second housing portion to a first position and a second position. The light-emitting source is electrically coupled to a power supply by an activation switch. The first housing portion is configured to at least partially cover the light-emitting source when disposed in the first position. The first housing portion is configured to support the second housing portion and the light-emitting source in an upright bearing when disposed in the second position.
