Abstract: A trim surround is installable around a trim plate of a door latching assembly. The trim surround may have a shape complementary to and installable around an outer perimeter of a trim plate. The trim surround can have a front edge and a rear edge, and a retaining mechanism. The trim surround may be ring shaped to be complementary to a round trim plate of the door latching assembly. In some cases, the retaining mechanism can include a flange that extends inwardly of the trim plate such that the flange retains the trim surround in place around the trim plate when the door latching assembly is mounted to a door.

Abstract: A door latch operator comprising: one of a knob and a lever on a door configured to articulate in response to a linear force, wherein the linear force is perpendicular to a central, longitudinal axis of a latch; a transmission configured to translate the linear force into a rotational motion; and a latch bolt configured to extend from the latch absent the rotational motion and retract into the latch upon reception of the rotational motion.

Abstract: An electronic lock includes an interior subassembly including a manual turnpiece, a control circuit, and a motor actuatable by the control circuit, and an exterior subassembly including a facial authentication circuit operatively connected to the control circuit. The electronic lock includes a latch operatively connected to the interior subassembly, the latch being engageable by the manual turnpiece or the motor to move the electronic lock between a locked state and an unlocked state. The facial authentication circuit includes at least one camera and is configured to generate an authentication signal to the control circuit, and wherein, at least in part in response to the authentication signal, the control circuit is configured to actuate the motor to move the electronic lock between the locked state and the unlocked state.

Abstract: An electronic lock assembly includes an exterior assembly, an interior assembly, and a latch having a deadbolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position, the latch being movable in response to rotation of a torque blade. The electronic lock includes a motor within the interior assembly and operable to rotate the torque blade, and a control circuit operatively connected to the motor and configured to selectively actuate the motor. A mortise insert includes a battery subassembly electrically connectable to the control circuit.
