  • Patent number: 10050428
Abstract: A clip is used to manage cords. The clip features a containment sleeve with a portion thereof being open, thereby forming a gap for passage into the sleeve, and extending outward as two opposing flanges. A cord is passed through the gap so as to reside in the sleeve and the flanges are used to interface with a rigid wire found in the environment of the cord. The clip has particular use in wire-constructed merchandizers and other such structures and for managing cords to provide power for lighting and other display enhancement devices.

  • Publication number: 20180116032
Abstract: A light strip may be fashioned from a plurality of environmentally controlled parallel light circuits positioned on a flexible, rigid or rigid-flexible circuit board. Each circuit may then be activated or deactivated discretely by triggering the appropriate environmental condition as to the preference and desire of the end user. Such light strips may then be easily deployed in multiple environments for the purpose of illumination.

  • Patent number: 9945545
Abstract: A clip for attaching a device, such as a lighting strip, to an underlying wire structure, such as a merchandizer shelf or peg, may present at least one spring bar as a part of a main clip body. These spring bars should each have a portion thicker than a remainder than the spring bar so as to increase a range of sizes of the device may be accommodated by the clip. The thicker portions should interact with a top surface of the device to force the spring bars to provide a counter pressure to the device and secure it to the structure. Legs depending from the clip body may feature cut-outs to interface securely with the underlying wire structure. Said cut-out may be made to accommodate different sizes of wire.

  • Patent number: 9682466
Abstract: A ring light is provided for rotary, spindle based machines such as mills and drills. The ring light is magnetically held to the machine about the spindle and may be moved along the spindle to any location thereon. The ring light may powered by a module containing batteries which may be replaceable or chargeable by a power supply or through induction. All three embodiments are disclosed. The construction is generally unitary with respect to the ring portion of the ring light and it may be constructed so that the power module is removable or as one piece with the ring portion.

  • Patent number: 9680270
Abstract: A power distribution apparatus including a power supply conduit extending a length of a fixture and at least one power tap connected into the conduit, one embodiment of which may feature a saddle and at least one prong making operative contact with the power supply conduit. An electronic control module may be located proximate the saddle. The power tap may also be connected to a power distribution trough, which may have a plurality of walls, with lips, about a base. Power conductor strips may extend from the prongs along a length of the trough. Product enhancement devices may then access the power distribution trough at any point along the power distribution trough's length. A power-out-connector may be positionable along a power distribution trough for enhancement device access. The power-out-connector may feature at least one spring prong which interfaces with at least one lip and at least one power conductor strip.

  • Patent number: 9265130
Abstract: A method and system for lighting merchandising aisles, in particular check-out aisles, is disclosed. A control unit activates lighting of the aisles automatically when the presence of a cashier is detected. Communicative links between control units in adjacent aisles allow lights to be controlled despite aisle space between the control unit and lighting hardware. The communicative link may be wireless. Frequency switching or encoding may be used to pair sets of controllers for a given aisle to the exclusion of others. Override switches are also provided as are power output for the lighting hardware and other ancillary hardware. The invention may also be adapted to merchandizing gondolas and end caps.

  • Patent number: 8939602
Abstract: Disclosed is a work light with convertible configurations. First is a light head mounted upon a stand with an extendable neck. The second is a flashlight. A third is presented when the neck is extended in the flashlight mode. The stand is ideally a tripod with legs collapsible into a central body to form the flashlight handle, a movable stop being provided to support the legs when deployed. A double linkage hinge is also provided the head and neck. Magnets may be applied at both the head and the end of an extendable retainer cap such that the work light may be used as an extendable pick up tool with the magnet in the head and it may be mounted solely by the magnet in the cap, even against the pull of gravity. The extendible retainer cap may also be utilized as an extra center leg.

  • Patent number: 8757283
Abstract: The aerator features a rotatable tine assembly so as to avoid obstacles or aid in the extrication of the aerator therefrom. The tine assembly includes a plurality of tines mounted about a crank shaft and projecting through said retractor plate. Each tine rod passes between two rollers, one serving as a fulcrum is mounted directly on the retractor plate while the other is mounted upon a spring arm that biases the tine rod as far as possible into a forward position. The aerator is driven by the tines used to puncture the ground.
