Abstract: An adjustable fastener assembly for attaching a flexible cover sheet to an object such as a boat comprises an elongated housing provided with a slot extending along its length. Within the housing, there is positioned a slide having an extension protruding through the slot in the housing. The portion protruding through the slot carries a fastening element which engages a complementary fastener such as a ring in the cover. The slide and the housing are provided with complementary locking means permitting the slide to be locked in any desired position along the length of the housing. The slide locking means is provided with a first engaging portion capable of engaging a first portion of the housing locking means which prevents movement in only a first direction along the length of the housing and a second engaging portion capable of engaging a second portion of the housing locking means which prevents movement in only a second direction along the length of the housing.

Abstract: A container having a generally cylindrical body closed at the bottom and open at the top with a container rim having a top edge defining an open top and two spaced apart downwardly extending legs, means securing the top of said cylindrical body between the legs upon insertion of the body therebetween, circumferential spaced apart wall sections acting as retaining members exterior to and laterally spaced from the top edge, and a plurality of spaced apart grooves in the exterior surface of the rim near and parallel to the top edge forming a first set of teeth.

Abstract: A cap locking member for locking a cap in a closed position relative to the neck or spout of the can or container to prevent removal or unscrewing of the cap by a child and providing a safety factor whereby only an adult can unscrew the cap by using both hands. The said cap locking member is secured to the top of the can or container and has an upwardly extending portion which has a notch or recess with the transversely extending front edge thereof engaging the underside of the cap whereby the front edge is imbedded into the underside of the cap in such a manner as to prevent counterrotation or unscrewing of the cap unless the container is held with one hand and with one of the fingers of that hand applying sufficient manual pressure to depress the manually engageable portion of the locking means to effect disengagement with the cap while simultaneously rotating the cap in a counterclockwise direction with the other hand to unscrew same.
