  • Patent number: 4550602
Abstract: A device is disclosed for visually sighting the level of a liquid material or a solid particulate material within a container having a container sidewall. The device comprises a handle and a first and a second leg, the first leg having a first top end portion and a first bottom end portion with the second leg having a second top end portion and a second bottom end portion. The first and second top end portions are integrally connected to the handle and spaced apart to accommodate the thickness of the container sidewall. The first and second bottom end portions are spaced apart a distance closer than the first and second top end portions. First and second legs are resilient, enabling the bottom end portions to be separated upon positioning the first and second legs on the external and internal surfaces of the container sidewall with the resiliency of the legs engaging the external and internal surfaces of the container sidewall to maintain the position of the device relative to the container.

  • Patent number: 4303057
Abstract: A swimming pool solar heater is disclosed comprising a plurality of sunlight condenser elements each having a plurality of condensing lenses secured in a frame. The plurality of condenser elements are rotatably mounted relative to a base for condensing the sunlight and projecting the condensed sunlight on to the water within the swimming pool. A motor drives a shaft for simultaneously rotating the plurality of sunlight condenser elements to compensate for the relative movement between the sun and the earth and maintain the condensed sunlight impinging upon the water within the swimming pool. The foregoing abstract is merely a resume of one general application, is not a complete discussion of all principles of operation or applications, and is not to be construed as a limitation on the scope of the claimed subject matter.

  • Patent number: 4268925
Abstract: A self-contained, closed system, aerobic sewage treatment system designed for use in a house or in mobile situations such as a boat, plane, bus, train, etc. comprising a housing with a toilet and a main digestion tank and a series of secondary digestion tanks below the toilet. An air diffusor, an aeration deflector and a quiescent zone are disposed in the majority of the digestive tanks to promote the rapid digestion of the organic waste deposited therein. The final digestion tank which receives the substantially organically pure water from the system has a pump to recirculate some of the water to rinse the toilet bowl after use.

  • Patent number: 4179244
Abstract: A low pressure air displacement pump including one or more cylinders or bellows powered by rotary or reciprocating motivation means. This device employs two or more bellows radially disposed and activated by a singular rotary source of power which imparts a cranking motion to connecting rods affixed to the bellows, which, in turn supply individual conduits with equal or varying amounts of displaced air, in accordance with the particular sizes of the individual bellows.
