Abstract: A screen assembly for a cuttings dryer has a frustoconical screen assembly that has a plurality of screen segments. The individual screen segments each extend along the sidewall of the screen assembly from the lower part of the screen assembly to the upper part of the screen assembly. Each screen segment may be replaced by accessing the screen segment in the CD body, and replacing the damaged or worn segment, without the need to remove the entire screen, or to remove the undamaged screen segments. A cutting dryer includes an improved screen assembly including a plurality of screen segments. A method for replacing a screen segment is provided.

Abstract: A shale shaker that includes a base, a basket, a vibrator interconnected with the basket, and two shaker screens releasably mounted on the basket, with the first shaker screen having a discharge end, with the second screen having a first end with a seal abutted thereto, with the second screen positioned such that the seal is positioned below the first shaker screen, and positioned so that discharge from the first screen will not discharge onto the seal.

Abstract: A drill cuttings dryer that includes a centrifuge especially adapted to process drill cuttings; a torque converter in communication with the centrifuge; a motor; and, a drive shaft in communication with both and linking the motor and torque converter. A method of processing drill cuttings containing a liquid by introducing the drill cuttings to centrifuge, and then providing power from a motor to power the centrifuge and subject the drill cuttings to centrifugal force sufficient to remove at least some of the liquid from the drill cuttings, wherein the motor provides power to the centrifuge through a drive shaft. A method of retrofitting a drill cuttings dryer that utilizes a belt and sheave system, includes replacing the belt and sheave system with a drive shaft based system.
