  • Patent number: 6386403
Abstract: An object sensor (18) detects an object such as a hand (20) and operates a valve (52) that permits liquid soap (86) to flow from a disposable soap container (12). The liquid soap is typically quite viscous but tends to be expelled because of pressure applied from a carbon-dioxide cartridge (32). A pressure-regulator assembly (40) permits gas from the carbon dioxide cartridge (32) to enter the soap container (28) only so long as the soap container's internal pressure is less than a predetermined maximum.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 31, 2001
Date of Patent: May 14, 2002
    Assignee: Arichell Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Natan E. Parsons, Emanuel C. Ebner, Jr.

  • Patent number: 6161726
Abstract: An automatic soap dispenser (10) includes a disposable soap container including a dispensing mechanism (20) in which walls of an interior chamber (56) cooperate with a diaphragm (62) and a plunger (66) to form a transit chamber (64), which is resiliently expandable against the force of a spring (80). When a solenoid (58) permits the diaphragm (62) to move away from the outlet of a passage (50) in a flow path from the interior of a pressurized reservoir (18) to the expandable transit chamber (64), travel of the plunger (66) permits the transit chamber (64)'s pressure-relieving outlet opening to expand so that the pressure within the transit chamber (64) is determined predominantly by the force of the spring (80) rather than by the pressure within the reservoir (18). The velocity of the liquid dispensed from the transit chamber (64) through the dispensing mechanism's spout (16) is therefore relatively independent of the pressure within the reservoir (18).

  • Patent number: 4772202
Abstract: Side walls of an appliance removal device are joined by a transverse member which separates two cavities. One cavity receives a wax like compound which is pressed over a dental appliance. Grooves and orifices are formed in the side walls of that cavity. Flanges extend from the side walls into the other cavity to receive an impulse force from a tool positioned in that cavity. A pin on the other cavity serves to lock the tool in place with 10 degrees of freedom. Flanges extend outwardly from the side walls.

  • Patent number: 4034929
Abstract: A container for dispensing sheet material from a roll received interior of the container, the container having a removable end wall for insertion of a roll of sheet material such as film. The container has a slot through a wall portion thereof from which the sheet material can be dispensed, the slot being formed by inwardly bent portions of the material which forms the container body. Removable seal members carried by the inwardly bent portions are coated with a fabric-like material which substantially closes the slot to restrict entrance of light to the interior of the container.

  • Patent number: 3965599
Abstract: A display system for the interchangeable presentation of art prints or other substantially flat display objects, and for the storage of a number of such prints not being displayed. Magnets are disposed within recesses in a background member or plaque and these magnets engage metallic plates or foil elements permanently affixed to the back of a picture to be displayed for secure mounting thereof to the plaque in a predetermined orientation. A mat may be provided surrounding the displayed picture and it may also be maintained in position by magnetic means.
