Abstract: An improved seat for use in a vehicle is disclosed in which the back portion and the sitting portion of the seat is comprised of a single unitary composite structure. The composite structure comprises a core layer of a high polymer organic material disposed between two metal sheets. A roughened plastic protective layer is disposed on one of the metal sheets thereby providing a relatively non-slick surface on which a passenger may sit.
