  • Publication number: 20240392704
Abstract: An exhaust valve rocker arm assembly selectively operable in an engine braking mode includes a rocker arm and a valve end configured to selectively act on a valve bridge to engage a first and a second exhaust valve. The valve end includes a brake capsule to selectively extend in a first position to act on the first exhaust valve through the valve bridge. The valve end also includes a lost motion mechanism capable of selectively transmitting motion of the rocker arm to the valve bridge. The lost motion mechanism may integrate a hydraulic lash adjuster in particular embodiments.

  • Patent number: 12140056
Abstract: A switchable rocker arm (1, 2, 3, 4) can comprise a main body (10, 11) configured to rotate around a rocker shaft. The main body can comprise a valve end (102), and a cam end (103) comprising a piston bore (135, 136). A second body (21, 22, 23, 24) can comprise a pivot portion (2140, 2240, 2340, 2440), a cam-receiving transfer portion (2130, 2230, 2330, 2430), and a latch bore (2132) through the transfer portion. A latch assembly (60) can be mounted in the latch bore. A piston assembly (50) can be mounted in the piston bore.

  • Patent number: 12037929
Abstract: A switching roller finger follower (SRFF) for valve actuation includes an outer arm (16), a first inner arm (12), a bearing axle (50) and a latch pin (26). The outer arm (16) is formed of a metal stamping, and is pivotally coupled to a main axle (40). The first inner arm (12) is coupled to the main axle (40) and is pivotably secure to the outer arm. The bearing axle (50) extends through the outer arm and the first inner arm. The bearing axle supports a roller (20) thereon. The latch pin (26) is slidably disposed in the outer arm (16) and is movable between at least a first position where the outer arm (16) and the first inner arm (12) are coupled for concurrent rotation and a second position wherein one of the outer arm and the first inner arm are configured to rotate relative to the other arm.

  • Patent number: 4109379
Abstract: To facilitate the insertion of printed-circuit boards into a holder whose sidewalls form guide tracks for these boards and whose bottom has contacts engageable by terminal tabs on the boards, as well as the extraction of such boards from the holder, a C-frame adapted to span the holder surrounds a slider having a pair of lugs which point to the interior of the holder when the frame legs come to rest on its sidewalls and which carry hooks fitting into holes of a printed-circuit board lying in the plane of the frame. The slider is biased by leaf springs into an extended position, defined by stops on the frame legs, in which it can be locked by a latch during an insertion operation. For extracting an inserted printed-circuit board from the holder, the slider is unlocked and is then squeezed against the ridge of the frame resting against the holder walls to disengage the terminal tabs from their contacts before fully withdrawing the board.
