  • Patent number: 12341421
Abstract: A control module is used to control a switching buck-boost converter that includes an inductor, a capacitor, a first top switch and a second top switch, a first bottom switch and a second bottom switch and a diode coupled to the second top switch. The control module controls the switching buck-boost converter so as to alternate: first time periods, in which the second top switch is open and cycles of charge and discharge of the inductor are carried out, during which the inductor is traversed by a current that also passes through the diode and charges the capacitor; and second time periods, in which the first and second top switches are open and the first and second bottom switches are closed so that the current in the inductor recirculates, and the capacitor is discharged by a current that flows in the load.

  • Publication number: 20250027985
Abstract: A test circuit includes a set of electronic switches having a current path between a first node and a ground node, where each electronic switch has a respective control node. A set of coupling channels have one end coupled to a common test node and other ends coupled to the respective control nodes of electronic switches. A stress voltage supply source is coupled to the common test node. A set of comparator circuits includes comparator circuits having a first input node coupled, via sensing circuitry, to the control node of respective electronic switches in the set of electronic switches and having second nodes coupled to a threshold voltage node. A method of operating the test circuit is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240088790
Abstract: A control device for a switching voltage regulator having a switching circuit receives a set of measurement signals including a first measurement signal indicative of an output voltage of the switching voltage regulator. A burst-mode controller is configured to monitor the output voltage with respect to a first threshold and a second threshold higher than the first threshold, and to provide, in response, a burst signal. A driving-signal generation stage is configured to provide at least one switching control signal for the switching circuit based on the burst signal and the set of measurement signals. The driving-signal generation stage has a feedback module configured to provide a control signal based on the burst signal and an error signal indicative of a difference between the first measurement signal and a reference signal.
