  • Patent number: 7779765
Abstract: A pallet having first and second decks with at least two post assemblies extending between the first and second decks to maintain the first and second decks at a distance from one another. Each post assembly includes an outer post member including a substantially hollow body extending axially from a base connected to the first deck to a free end and an inner post member including a body extending axially from a base connected to the second deck to a free end. The inner post body free end is configured to be received in the outer post body with the inner and outer posts positioned relative to one another such that at least one of the post free ends contacts the respective opposed deck and supports the first and second decks in spaced relationship.

  • Patent number: 6142300
Abstract: A stackable crate and modular rack system for horizontally retaining large bottles such as used in the bottled water industry. The individual crates may be adapted to retain multiple bottles held in various configurations. The individual crates may be formed of multiple components. The crates are designed to provide stability when stacked on top of one another to form a modular rack system. The individual crates include an alignment feature, and a locking feature which also provides for sliding one stacked crate over another.

  • Patent number: 5857416
Abstract: A plastic molded pallet includes a corrugated deck providing structural rigidity to the pallet and forming channels for directing leaking fluid away from drums. The pallet also includes a plurality of troughs for selectively collecting the leaking fluid from the channels. Corner troughs flush with the channels collect the leaking fluid from any channel having the fluid. If a corner trough overflows, mid-section troughs on each side of the corner trough begin to collect the overflowing fluid after the overflowing fluid reaches over the mid-section trough dam. If both mid-section troughs are filled, the leaking fluid then proceeds to the next adjacent corner trough, during which time the leaking drum can still be identified based upon the leakage pattern. After all corner and mid-section troughs are filled, the fluid begins collecting in a center trough. The corrugations in the deck isolate the leaking fluid from the drums, and provide concentric surfaces for supporting different-sized drums.

  • Patent number: 5599568
Abstract: An improved design for an injection molding apparatus for creating of products from fluid plastic material wherein a hydraulic flow divider can be used for simultaneously actuating of multiple hydraulic injectors which need not be linearly positioned. This molding apparatus is usable with a hydraulic flow divider since a unique configuration of a fixed frame with a cage mounted movably therein and a hydraulic cylinder assembly mounted movably within the cage allows the injection molding apparatus to use the same amount of hydraulic fluid during each and every stroke regardless of the length of the stroke of the rod relative to the nozzle. This unique capability is achievable by allowing the hydraulic cylinder assembly in its entirety to move within a predefined cage configuration even after the entire stroke is completed in order to allow the cylinder to accept the amount of powering hydraulic fluid associated with a single complete stroke.

  • Patent number: 5531581
Abstract: An injection molding apparatus particularly usable for low pressure structural foam molding with improved control device for providing adjustment and controlling relative positioning between the injection molding apparatus and the mold. A novel device is included for adjusting the nozzle body with respect to the injection molding apparatus and for adjusting the nozzle rod with respect to the nozzle body. An improved device is also included for facilitating adjustment of injection stroke length and of the position of the nozzle body as well as automatic adjustment of positioning of limit switches responsive to indicate the extremes of movement during the cyclical injection stroke. Automatic and manual devices are also included for maintaining alignment between the nozzle rod and the nozzle body extending therearound.

  • Patent number: 4913488
Abstract: A locking member for use on a article of furniture, the article of furniture having frame means carrying a fixed seat section and a movable common section, the support member rotatably mounted on the frame and movable from a first non-locked seat back position to a second locked table top position, the support member being maintained in its first non-locked seat back position by gravity, and in its second locked table top position by the locking member. The support member comprises a box-shaped housing member rotatably carried on the frame means, with the locking member loosely contained between the frame member and the housing member for rotational movement with the housing member. The locking member is longitudinally movable from a first non-wedging position to a second wedging position to lock by wedging action the support member in its second or table top position.
