  • Patent number: 10146653
Abstract: Systems and methods for automated system-level failure and recovery are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) includes a processor and a memory, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to execute a selected process configured to participate in an inter-process communication (IPC) with at least one other process, invoke an error handling process by simulating a fault in the IPC, and determine if the error handling process successfully handles the fault.

  • Publication number: 20180322012
Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, an information handling system may include a host system comprising a host system processor and a device coupled to the host system processor. The information handling system may also include a management controller communicatively coupled to the host system processor and configured to provide management of the information handling system via management traffic communicated between the management controller and a network external to the information handling system and perform runtime verification of a firmware image of the management controller by responsive to each particular read request of the firmware image during runtime of the firmware, verifying integrity of a respective block of the read request and responsive to determining the respective block is corrupted, causing a bootloader of the firmware to, on a subsequent boot of the firmware image, perform recovery of the firmware image.

  • Publication number: 20070274066
Abstract: A solar rechargeable lantern that utilizes light emitting diodes (LEDs) as the light source. The lantern comprises a base member having a rechargeable battery positioned therein, a light emitting portion, a solar panel connected to the battery and a printed circuit board mounted in the light emitting portion and having a plurality of LED arrays mounted thereto, the battery in turn being connected to the LED arrays. A controller is provided to control the charge applied to the battery by the solar panel and to monitor the charge status of the battery. • Publication number: 20060241788
Abstract: The exemplary embodiments of the method, system and arrangement according to the present invention enables an estimation of reaching movements. For example, using the exemplary embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to derive a Bayesian-optimal discrete time state equation to support real-time filters that incorporate observations about the target position and arm trajectory. The exemplary embodiments of the present invention may be compatible with any filtering method, such as point process or Kalman filters, and any recording methods, such as multielectrode arrays, intracortical EEG, or eye trackers.

  • Publication number: 20060192502
Abstract: The AC output from a source is rectified and applied to a resistor/Zener diode circuit connection which determines the magnitude of the rectified voltage applied via a circuit to a first MOSFET device. The inverted output of the first MOSFET device is applied to the gate electrode of a second MOSFET device in a manner such that the second MOSFET device is ON even when the AC output passes through zero. The output of the second MOSFET device is connected to a resistor which determines the magnitude of the load applied to the dimmer.

  • Publication number: 20060089559
Abstract: A system for estimating a statistic associated with a cardiac signal having periodic events includes a clock and a digital filter. The clock determines an extent of a censored interval beginning at a most recent event and ending at a time selected from a continuum of times. The digital filter implements a point process stochastic model of the cardiac signal, receives the censored interval, and estimates the statistic at least in part on the basis of historical data and the censored interval.
