  • Patent number: 9745910
Abstract: An air feed ratio controlling apparatus can include a predictor for predicting an air fuel ratio on the downstream side of a catalyst calculates a predicted air fuel ratio at least based on an actual air fuel ratio from an oxygen sensor and a history of a first correction coefficient. The air fuel ratio controlling apparatus can also include an adaptive model corrector which determines the deviation between the actual air fuel ratio and the predicted air fuel ratio as a prediction error ERPRE, and superposes a second correction coefficient on the first correction coefficient so that the prediction error may be reduced to zero.

  • Patent number: 7997613
Abstract: Multiple protecting devices, such as an air bag and an air bag jacket, are controlled and operated in accordance with the shape and size of an impact. A normal collision determining section causes the air bag and/or the air bag jacket to operate in accordance with the magnitude and direction of a collision based on outputs of G sensors. When a collision predicting section predicts a collision on the basis of other vehicle information obtained by a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device and own-vehicle information, it causes a stand-by collision determining section to start instead of the normal collision determining section. The stand-by collision determining section determines a collision mode in advance and sets a threshold value for determining the outputs of the G sensors to a value different from a value used in the determination of the normal collision determining section so as to permit quick determination of a collision.

  • Patent number: 7686369
Abstract: A windshield device provided at a front part of a vehicle body of a saddle ride type vehicle includes an air introduction port provided at a front part of the windshield device and opened toward the front side of the vehicle body. An air blow-off port is provided at an upper part of the windshield device and is opened toward the upper side. An air duct establishing communication between the air introduction port and the air blow-off port through an air passage extends rearwardly upwards. A straightening vane extends sideways in the air passage and is inclined rearwardly upwards so as to be along the air passage. In side view of the vehicle, a first straight line connecting both ends of the straightening vane is disposed at an obtuse angle in relation to a second straight line that is orthogonal to a steering axis and extends to a grounding point of a rear wheel.
