  • Publication number: 20090115310
Abstract: A coating liquid for hole injection and transport layers improves the injecting property of the coating liquid when it is injected by an injection device and light-emitting uniformity of an organic electroluminescent element, reduces leak current, and improves light-emitting efficiency. The coating liquid for hole injection and transport layers is a coating liquid for hole injection and transport layers in an organic electroluminescent element, wherein the coating liquid for hole injection and transport layers contains poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene), polystyrene sulfonate, and (poly)alkylene glycol alkyl ether.

  • Publication number: 20080038488
Abstract: The present invention provides a coating liquid which is excellent in stabilities and capable of being stably ejected by an ejection equipment and suppressing variation in film thickness inside a film or between films, in application for various uses, a film production method, a production method of a functional device, and a functional device, using the coating liquid. The present invention is a coating liquid comprising a mixed solvent and a functional material, wherein the mixed solvent comprises a first solvent constituted by a compound having two or more aromatic rings such as diphenyl sulfide, diphenylmethane, diphenyl ether, and a symmetric structure and another solvent constituted by a compound having an aromatic ring such as xylene, and a proportion by volume of the another solvent is 90% or less in the mixed solvent.

  • Publication number: 20060046062
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method of producing a functional film, capable of simply producing a functional film which has excellent uniformity of film quality, film configuration and film thickness throughout a surface of a substrate and particularly prevents unevenness of drying along a direction of applying a coating liquid to secure uniformity at a boundary region of applying a coating liquid. The present invention is directed to a method of producing a functional film formed in a pattern form on a substrate by a wet process, the method of producing a functional film comprising the steps of: applying a solution formed by one of dissolving and dispersing a functional material in a solvent to a substrate; removing the solvent under reduced pressure; and baking the functional material under one of an inert gas atmosphere and reduced pressure in this order.
