  • Patent number: 4740773
Abstract: An ignition device has a housing provided with a high voltage terminal post for receiving a cable. An ignition winding is supported in a coil form. An end of a solid wire is inserted into a hole in the coil form and an end of the ignition winding is wound around a free part of the wire. Then the coil form is inserted into the housing and the free end part of the wire is received in a housing recess at the rear end of the terminal post. A contact pin is pressed into the terminal post unitl the rear end of the pin makes contact with the wire. Then the housing recess is filled with casting resin to fix the pin and the wire with the winding end in position.

  • Patent number: 4652818
Abstract: The invention concerns an electric measuring instrument with a connecting cable, preferably an inductive bar sensor for measuring the speed of rotating bodies, which emits electric signals in relation to the rotational speed of the body. To allow that the manufacturing and testing of the measuring instrument (10) can be carried out as economically as possible, the measuring device preferably consists of two prefabricated components (27, 28) joined in such a way that they are interlocking and moisture-proof, namely the actual measuring device consisting of a coil (13), a coil form (14), a permanent magnet (17), a flow conductor piece (15), a pole shoe (16), conductor rails (18) and a housing (20), and a connector piece (25) embedding the end of the connecting cable (22) with the conductor ends (23). Such measuring instruments (10) can be used in motor vehicles or in industry, as temperature probes, pressure sensors, rotational speed sensors or speed sensors for rotating bodies, etc.

  • Patent number: 4561410
Abstract: A cooling plate, the hybrid electronic circuit and a circuit board connection plate, are mounted flat at the bottom of a cup-shaped vessel with a reentrant tube for an iron core leg, in which vessel the secondary winding on its spool and a primary winding set inside the spool are put for being imbedded in a casting resin. The vessel and its contents fits over the central core leg of an E-shaped stationary armature of a magneto generator for a one-cylinder internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 4494101
Abstract: The laminations of a stack that form an iron core for a magneto armature are provided with wart-like deformations produced by through-stamping, so that pressing the stack together will provide a press-fit at the locations of the deformations. The core is mounted by screws through mounting holes respectively in the yoke and at the end of one leg of an E-shaped core, while the press-fits produced by superposed deformations hold the rest of the core together against warping and twisting. Protuberances from the annular cup casing, which contains the winding mounted on the middle leg of the core, grasp the lamination stack in a region remote from the mounting holes to prevent the press-fit locking of the laminations from loosening.

  • Patent number: 4435625
Abstract: An insulating cup-shaped body (29) that is screwed into the rim (11) of a vehicle wheel prevents conduction of heat (generated by the brakes, for example) from heating the metallic body (16) that forms a reference pressure chamber closed off by a membrane (17) from the inflated interior of a vehicle tire. The membrane (17) is set slightly within the rim of the cup for protection during tire changes. The chamber and switch housing (16) and a spool (27) for the coil of a resonant circuit form a preassembled unit that is snapped into the insulating cup and cemented into place. The relatively large coil diameter adds to the economy of the device, permitting the use of a small capacitor. The temperature of the gas sealed in the reference pressure chamber (18) by closure of the filling bore with a steel ball (25) follows the temperature of the interior of the tire and reliably opens the resonant circuit if the tire pressure falls below a prescribed limit.
