    Abstract: A dental drill system and method for drilling a socket to a predetermined depth and diameter which is sized to receive an implant includes a first drill bit with a first bit diameter, a second drill bit with a second bit diameter, wherein the second bit diameter is greater than the first bit diameter. A stop collar is provided which includes a body with a first bore formed through the body. The first bore is adapted to receive the first drill bit. A second bore is formed coaxial with the first bore and extends a portion less than an entire length of the body, wherein the second bore is greater than the first bore and adapted to receive the second drill bit.
