Patent number: 10959493Abstract: A device for donning a face mask. Straps on either side of the back of the mask are connected to each other through a looped handle. When pulled by the user, the handles tighten the straps of the mask to create an airtight seal on the mask. The handles eliminate the need to separately tighten each individual strap to create the airtight seal and allow the user to tighten the mask even if the user is wearing gloves. The device may also include an adherent material attached to the back of the mask and the handles such that the handles have a resting platform once they are adjusted by the user.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2019Date of Patent: March 30, 2021Inventors: Gabriel Raynolds, Andrew James Bilardello, Emilio Rodriguez

Publication number: 20160219796Abstract: In plant cultivation, it is common in many cases to grow certain crops under film covers, in greenhouses (100), or under other roofings (200). Depending on the climate zone and crop, this can be used for example to supply heat by retaining the sunlight or by means of additional heating. The invention relates to a plant cultivation roofing (10) made of film material or plate material having temperature-dependent radiation transparency, wherein a plastic layer in or on a plate or at least one film layer having temperature-dependent radiation transparency provides a gradual or a two-step or multi-step transparency reduction for rising temperatures in a temperature range from 20° C.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2014Publication date: August 4, 2016Inventor: Emilio RODRIGUEZ CABEO

Patent number: 8983142Abstract: A set of silhouette attributes are determined for a class of objects, where each of the silhouette attribute corresponds to a discriminative feature that is not associated with any other silhouette attribute in the set. An image content item depicting an object of the class is analyzed. A discriminative feature is identified for the object. The silhouette attribute associated with the determined discriminative feature is associated with the object as provided in the image content item.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2011Date of Patent: March 17, 2015Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Wei Zhang, Emilio Rodriguez Antunez, III, Salih Burak Gokturk, Baris Sumengen

Patent number: 8898169Abstract: Product data for a product is received by an attribute selection module. The product data includes product image data and product text data. This product data is used to generate a plurality of probability distributions for a category. The category includes a plurality of attributes, and the probability distribution includes a plurality of probabilities indicating the likelihoods that attributes of the category are applicable to the product. The plurality of probability distributions for the category are weighted and summed to generate a combined probability distribution for the category. An attribute label is determined by selecting an attribute from the category that is indicated to be most likely applicable to the product based on the combined probability distribution for the category. The attribute label is associated with the product. The attribute label enables other services to search for and retrieve the product based on the attribute.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2011Date of Patent: November 25, 2014Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Salih B. Gokturk, Wei Zhang, Emilio Rodriguez Antunez, III, Baris Sumengen

Publication number: 20120301316Abstract: A method for bonding a first and a second prefabricated parts of a wind turbine blade comprising the steps of: disposing bands (45, 55, 65) of an adhesive material in a manageable uncured state following traces (43, 53, 63) signaled on a bonding area of one of said parts, said adhesive material being able to flow in a curing stage in a controlled way, the width (W) and height (H) of said bands (45, 55, 65) and the separation (S1) between said traces (43, 53, 63) being determined so that a predetermined separation (S2) between said bands (45, 55, 65) comprised between 0-300 mm remains after the bonding; bonding both parts under predetermined conditions of pressure and temperature. The invention also refers to a wind turbine blade having prefabricated parts bonded using said method.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2012Publication date: November 29, 2012Inventors: Sergio Velez Oria, Amaia Zugasti Paramo, Francisco Javier Marin Martinez, Emilio Rodriguez Saiz, Ion Arocena De La Rua, Eneko Sanz Pascual

Patent number: 6783794Abstract: A method and arrangement for producing a boride layer on a surface by plasma boronizing includes supplying a gas mixture containing a boron-releasing gas to a reactor and generating a glow discharge in the reactor using a pulsed DC voltage. The parameters of the production of the plasma produced by the glow discharge in a treatment chamber of the reactor are selected so that an increased quantity of excited boron particles is generated in the plasma to produce non-porous boride layers, for example, for boride coating of components which need a surface that is highly resistant to wear, for example, gears, camshafts and the like. Parameters with which the production of the boride layer can be controlled are, for example, voltage, pulse-duty factor, frequency, temperature, treatment chamber pressure during the production of the plasma, and the content of boron-releasing gas and of the remaining components in the gas mixture which is fed to the reactor.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2000Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Volkswagen AGInventors: Emilio Rodriguez Cabeo, Günter Laudien, Kyong-Tschong Rie, Swen Biemer

Patent number: 5316382Abstract: An electrically driven handmixer comprises a manually actuated electric switching device for an electromotor with several switch steps (I, II, III) for permanent operation of the electromotor as well as at least one switch step (IL) for short-time operation. A coupling device is used for holding and driving various insertable tools, and an interlock ensures that after the insertion of the blending attachment or other knife-like tool into the coupling device, the electromotor remains separated from the power supply despite the activation of the switch steps (I, II, III) for permanent operation of the electromotor, whereas the electromotor remains connected with the power supply during the manual actuation of the switch step (IL) for short-time operation of the electromotor.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1992Date of Patent: May 31, 1994Assignee: Braun AktiengesellschaftInventors: Mariano Penaranda, Jose Millan, Desiderio Falco, Josep M. Patent number: 4774430Abstract: The brush assembly for electrical motors comprises a housing cap (10) which consists of an insulating material and which closes the motor on its frontal end, the said cap's inner side (16) being provided with projections (7, 8) extending in parallel to the motor axis. These projections (7, 8) are penetrated by openings (12, 13) for the accommodation and fixation of elastic commutator brushes (1, 2). The contact lugs (32, 33) which can be inserted from the outside into the slot-shaped openings (12, 13) are coupled stationarily to the commutator brushes (1, 2) by virtue of a close-fit arrangement (36, 37) designed at the latter.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 1986Date of Patent: September 27, 1988Assignee: Braun AktiengesellschaftInventors: Emilio Rodriguez, Antonio Martinez
