  • Patent number: 11972685
Abstract: A pollution management method is provided. The method comprises determining a target relating to a level of pollution in an area associated with one or more parking spaces; monitoring a level of pollution in the area; adjusting a parking policy of the one or more parking spaces based on a comparison between the target and the level of pollution, in order to incentivise or disincentivise parking in the area; monitoring vehicles parking in the area; and re-adjusting the parking policy according to the vehicles parking in the area in order to adjust the incentivise or disincentivise to parking in the area and thereby achieve the target relating to the level of pollution in the area.

  • Patent number: 11760965
Abstract: Mesofluidic devices for culturing cell aggregates and methods of using the same are disclosed. An exemplary mesofluidic device comprises at least one fluid inlet, at least one fluid outlet, a plurality of fluid channels, and a plurality of culture chambers. Each culture chamber can comprise at least one chamber inlet and at least one chamber outlet. The at least one chamber inlet can be in fluid communication with the at least one fluid inlet via at least one of the plurality of fluid channels. The at least one chamber outlet can be in fluid communication with the at least one fluid outlet via at least one of the plurality of fluid channels. The mesofluidic device can be configured to contain a cell aggregate in each of the plurality of culture chambers.

  • Publication number: 20110319728
Abstract: A system is provided for sensing a blood parameter, such as an analyte, in a patient's vasculature. The system includes a vascular access device, a parameter sensor, a pressure sensor and a flow control device. The vascular access device supports the parameter sensor within the vasculature of the patient and includes an internal passageway for drawing samples onto and calibrating the parameter sensor. The pressure sensor is within the internal passageway. The flow control device modulates sample draw, calibration and flushing fluid flows to prevent or remove clots based on communication with the pressure sensor. Advantageously, the dynamic, adaptive modulation of flow reduces flushing and other cycle times while at the same time improving clot flushing. As another advantage, this enables reduction or elimination of the use of heparin and other anticoagulant components in the solution supplied for flushing and/or calibration.
