    Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method of affixing molecules to a polymer material, comprising: placing the polymer material in a reactor; removing at least a portion of sorbed water present in the polymer material; exposing the polymer material to a metal precursor to produce an inorganic-organic polymer hybrid material; and soaking the polymer hybrid material in a solution comprising the molecules.
