The system comprises a persistent data store storing the at least one rule relating to regulatory requirements, and a processor. The processor is configured to perform the method. The method comprises receiving at a user interface input data defining at least one of a product and a service, processing the input data using the at least one rule to automatically identify at least one regulatory requirement, receiving compliance data regarding the at least'one of the product and the service, processing the compliance data by automatically evaluating the at least one regulatory requirement, automatically generating and issuing an electronic certificate of compliance for the at least one of the product and the service, and transmitting the electronic certificate.
