  • Publication number: 20230027492
Abstract: The diffuser can have a body having a gas passage comprising a gas inlet connectable to a gas source for generating a stream of gas along the gas passage, and an outlet for exhausting the stream of gas in the form of a jet outside the body, a liquid chamber having a liquid inlet connectable to a liquid source, at least one liquid delivery conduit connecting the liquid chamber to the gas passage, the liquid delivery aperture having a cross-sectional width of less than 1 mm, preferably less than 0.5 mm, more preferably less than 0.1 mm, and even more preferably being a capillary conduit, the liquid delivery conduit extending transversally to the orientation of the stream of gas in the gas passage.

  • Publication number: 20230025874
Abstract: A modular plant growth system comprising a plurality of modules having two lateral walls transversally spaced apart and opposite to one another, defining a walkway there between, and a upper member connecting a upper portion of the lateral walls to each other, wherein at least one of the lateral walls is configured to receive a growth box and the modules are configured to be superposed, the upper member of a lower module being a flooring for the walkway of a superposed module. The growth box comprising a generally rectangular shell, a panel defined within a front face leading to a cavity within the shell and at least one support structure extending vertically defining a groove within, wherein the cavity is configured to receive planting growth material and the groove is configured to receive a support member.

  • Publication number: 20190105661
Abstract: A high velocity accelerator comprising: an internal chamber; a material inlet port; a material outlet port; a back wall surrounding the inlet port; an internal wall having a first end connected to the back wall and a second opposite end tapering to the outlet port, the first end being located proximate the inlet port and the second end being located proximate the outlet port; a plurality of injection ports positioned along the periphery of the internal wall proximate the first end; wherein said inlet port having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the internal chamber, and the injection ports are adapted to inject at a high rate of displacement a fluid which, in operation, will create a vortex inside the chamber thereby entraining a material towards the outlet port. Uses and methods using such are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180288954
Abstract: A method of growing plants in which the plants extend in a growing chamber can include emitting light from a light source onto a foliage of the plants, the light source being positioned within a light source conduit having an inlet and an outlet, and the emitted light being transmitted across a transparent wall of the light source conduit to the plants, circulating air in the light source conduit, the air circulating in the light source conduit absorbing heat from the light source, and transferring at least some of the heated air obtained from the outlet of the conduit to the growing chamber, thereby conditioning the temperature in the growing chamber. Other methods of handling the air medium are also presented.

  • Publication number: 20180288949
Abstract: A growing chamber adapted to grow at least a portion of a plurality of plants therein, an inlet duct leading into the growing chamber, an outlet duct leading out from the growing chamber, the growing chamber being sealed from its surroundings except for the inlet and the outlet. A method of growing at least a portion of the plants in the growing chamber, can include: raising the relative humidity level in the growing chamber to at least 45%, lowering the relative humidity level in the growing chamber to below 45%, and repeating the steps of raising and lowering at least five times during a single day.
