  • Patent number: 11808636
Abstract: A temperature sensor assembly for measuring temperature of a fluid in a conduit, the assembly comprising a temperature sensor and a thermowell housing the temperature sensor and embedded in a wall defining the conduit. The thermowell has a face for interfacing the fluid that is substantially non-intrusive relative the conduit and a groove that extends radially inward of the thermowell housing to minimize the cross-sectional area of the thermowell body proximate the location of the temperature sensor.

  • Publication number: 20230082333
Abstract: A system includes a transducer assembly for a flowmeter. The transducer assembly includes a housing with a front face and at least one attenuating rib. The transducer assembly also includes a transducer positioned in the housing and configured to direct an emitted acoustic signal through the front face of the housing and into a flow path of the flowmeter and to receive a received acoustic signal through the front face of the housing. The system also includes a controller configured to use the received acoustic signal to determine a ratio of a first component versus a second component in a gas flowing through the flow path of the flowmeter.

  • Publication number: 20200284765
Abstract: An assembly for monitoring particulate in a production fluid. The assembly supports routing of production fluid through a restriction and to a strategically located detector downstream and adjacent the restriction. Further, the detector incorporates acoustic attenuating features to provide a tailored detection focused on acoustics directly from particulate in the fluid. These features may include the use of a transducer housing with a ribbed profile to achieve the attenuation. Although, other types of attenuating techniques may be employed.

  • Publication number: 20200271493
Abstract: A flowmeter with ribbed housings for accommodating transducers. The ribbed housings may be of a profile to attenuate or dampen acoustic noise which occurs as a transducer emits frequencies across housing walls toward a fluid flow path of the flowmeter. Thus, as transducers receive flow velocity date it may be collected for analysis in a manner that substantially eliminates the inclusion of noise within the data to be analyzed. Once more this is achieved in a manner that utilizes a monolithic housing in place of a segmented or multi-component housing that is prone to include polymeric and other parts subject to premature wear and failure.

  • Patent number: 10330622
Abstract: An electrode includes a conductor, an insulator, and a housing. The insulator is positioned at least partially around the conductor. The housing is positioned at least partially around the conductor. An upper surface of the insulator may be at least partially concave, an outer surface of the housing may have a groove formed therein, or both.
