  • Publication number: 20240389508
Abstract: A harvesting machine includes a frame structure. A cutter is coupled to the frame structure for cutting standing crop material. A conveyor rotor is rotatable about a rotor axis relative to the frame structure, and includes a plurality of drivers mounted to an exterior surface of the conveyor rotor. A discharge hood is mounted to the frame structure above the conveyor rotor. The conveyor rotor is configured for rotation about the rotor axis in a first rotational direction for moving crop material over the conveyor rotor, between the discharge hood and the conveyor rotor, for conditioning the crop material. The conveyor rotor is configured for rotation about the rotor axis in a second rotational direction, opposite the first rotational direction, for moving the crop material under the conveyor rotor for cutting the crop material.

  • Publication number: 20240324508
Abstract: A harvesting header for a combine harvester for harvesting crops with grains growing on stalks. The harvesting header includes a frame structure movable in a forward direction over a field to which a harvesting device is attached, which extends over the entire width of the harvesting header to harvest the grains of the crop, the crop flow of which can be fed through a rear dispensing opening of the harvesting header to a feeder house of the combine harvester. The harvesting header includes a central portion, which is situated in front of the feeder house, and a left-hand portion and a right-hand portion which are each laterally offset in relation to the central portion. The harvesting header is configured to feed stalks that enter the central portion to the feeder house along with the grains.

  • Patent number: 9532497
Abstract: A harvesting header for use with a crop harvesting machine has a feederhouse interface and a header frame providing structural support for the harvesting header. A pivotable connection between the feederhouse interface and the header frame enable the header frame to pivot with respect to the feederhouse interface. At least one hydraulic ram connects between the feederhouse interface and the header frame to pivot the harvesting header on the feederhouse interface. A hydraulic supply provides pressurized hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic ram. An accumulator assembly fluidically connects between the hydraulic supply and the at least one hydraulic ram. The accumulator assembly has a precharge fluid/gas interface between a gas chamber and the hydraulic supply, and a working fluid/gas interface between the gas chamber and the at least one hydraulic ram.

  • Patent number: 9067495
Abstract: An agricultural machine, such as a combine harvester, includes a chassis supported by a pair of front wheels and a pair of steerable rear wheels, a first drive mechanism for driving at least one of the front wheels to move the chassis at a designated forward speed, and a second drive mechanism configured to operate independently of the first drive mechanism and to drive at least one of the rear wheels. A controller is configured to actuate the second drive mechanism in response to a user command to drive the at least one rear wheel to apply forward pressure on the chassis regardless of the forward speed. The controller may actuate the second drive mechanism to apply a maximum forward torque to the at least one rear wheel to thereby apply the forward pressure to the chassis.
