Abstract: In general, a method includes receiving a request to present a file inventory on a display associated with the computing device, the file inventory graphically representing a plurality of files stored across two or more physical locations, accessing a first file stored on a local storage device of the computing device to record first information associated with the first file, accessing a second file stored on a remote storage device to record second information associated with the second file, generating the file inventory, the file inventory including the first information and the second information, and presenting the file inventory on the display.
