  • Patent number: 6161019
Abstract: A communication system has cordless system units (1, 2, 3, 4) connected to a communication network (7). The cordless system units respectively has at least one cordless base station (11-13, 21-23, 31, 32, 41). The identification of a respective cordless terminal equipment (8) is stored in a cordless system unit (1, 2, 3, 4) allocated thereto as a home system unit. The possibility or, respectively, allowability of a connection setup from the respective cordless system unit (1, 2, 3, 4) to a cordless terminal equipment (8) can be checked by a check apparatus (15, 25, 35, 45) respectively allocated to the cordless system units (1, 2, 3, 4). The cordless system units (1, 2, 3, 4) are connected to a network (6, 61) offering a connectionless service in order to exchange information with one another dependent on check results of the check apparatus (15, 25, 35, 45).

  • Patent number: 5208858
Abstract: The hash result of useful data is transmitted to a multiply-protected central server in which it is transformed into a signature on the basis of a crypto operations system combination with a private key code of the originator. The signature is deposited in the central server and is available as what is referred to as a "digital signature" for the transmission of the useful data.

  • Patent number: 5166971
Abstract: A method and apparatus for speaker recognition in a telephone switching system. For a speaker recognition in a system particularly fashioned as an ISDN communications system, speech specimens are input into a telephone terminal equipment (T1, T2) and are pre-processed there, being, in particular, sampled with a sampling rate that is greater in comparison to the standard sampling rate. The samples are intermediately stored in the telephone terminal equipment (T1, T2), are read-out with the standard sampling frequency and are transmitted to a switching system (VA) in which the actual speaker recognition (SPR) is carried out.

  • Patent number: 5093855
Abstract: A method and apparatus for speaker recognition in a telephone switching system. For speaker recognition in, in particular, a system fashioned as an ISDN communications system, speech specimens are input into a telephone terminal equipment (T1, T2) and are pre-processed there, being, in particular, sampled with a sampling rate that is doubled in comparison to the usual sampling rate. The samples are transmitted to a switching system (VA) in the two ISDN data channels (B1, B2) in alternation, the actual speaker recognition (SPR) being carried out in this switching system (VA).

  • Patent number: 4755877
Abstract: Unitary apparatus for reading and/or printing a recording medium incorporates a read unit for optically scanning the recording medium and a print unit in the form of an ink jet printer for printing on the same or a subsequent area of recording medium. The recording medium is conducted in a planar condition through a path overlying the read unit and the print unit, both of which are mounted in fixed relation on a printer carriage for transverse movement relative to the printing medium. In this way line-by-line scanning of the recording medium or line-by-line printing of the recording medium can occur simultaneously with paper transport. The scanning and printing units may be either single color units, or may be multicolor scanning and multicolor printing units.

  • Patent number: 4728968
Abstract: An arrangement of discharge openings in a printhead of a multi-color ink printer includes n discharge openings for ink droplets of a black color formed in a first vertical row and m discharge openings in each row for ink droplets of further fundamental colors forming further vertical rows. The discharge openings of each row have a spacing "a" and after a first pass of the write head across a recording medium, the recording medium is moved relative to the write head by at least half a print line height, or by half the spacing "a" of the discharge openings. The number of discharge openings n of the first row and the spacing "a" is selected so that characters can be represented in draft quality for a single pass of the write head, the characters being represented in near-letter quality by multiple passes of the write head.

  • Patent number: 4599627
Abstract: An ink jet printer employs writing fluid consisting of two components, one of which is located in a reservoir of a print head, with the other being situated in a separate reservoir of a further ejection apparatus. Discrete droplets are sprayed from individual jets of the print head onto the recording medium under the influence of individually controllable electro-mechanical transducers. The further ejection apparatus is mounted on the same carriage with the print head in an offset position, and incorporates spray apparatus for one or more discharge jets for ejecting the second fluid constituent onto regions of said recording medium corresponding to locations of the dots of printed characters. The use of two fluid components achieves reduced drying time of the writing fluid, and eliminates clogging of the print head.

  • Patent number: 4578686
Abstract: A writing head for an ink printing device characterized by piezo-electric drive elements being formed by piezo-electrical laminae having cut edges shaped to produce a discharge opening in communication with an ink chamber which is separated from an ink supply channel by a choke channel. The laminae are arranged with spacer elements in a stacked arrangement to form the writing head with a plurality of discharge openings which can individually discharge droplets of ink.
