  • Publication number: 20130226477
Abstract: Techniques are generally described for generating an identification number for an integrated circuit (IC). In some examples, methods for generating an identification of an IC may comprise selecting circuit elements of the IC, evaluating measurements of an attribute of the IC for the selected circuit elements, wherein individual measurements are associated with corresponding input vectors previously applied to the IC, solving a plurality of equations formulated based at least in part on the measurements taken of the attribute of the IC for the selected circuit elements to determine scaling factors for the selected circuit elements, and transforming the determined scaling factors for the selected circuit elements to generate an identification number of the IC. Additional variants and embodiments may also be disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130177259
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for aligning objects in augmented reality. In some examples, a processor may be adapted to receive detected image data and virtual object data. In some examples, the processor may further be adapted to generate and apply weights to log-likelihood functions at intensity and feature levels based on the virtual object data and detected image data. In some examples, the processor may further be adapted to add the weighted log-likelihood function at intensity level to the weighted log-likelihood function at feature level to produce a cost function. In some examples, the processor may further be adapted to determine transformation parameters based on the cost function that may be used to align the detected image data with virtual object data.

  • Publication number: 20130027798
Abstract: Coatings configured to change between a relatively higher reflectivity state and a relatively lower reflectivity state depending at least partially upon a hydration state of at least a portion of the coating are generally disclosed. Some example coatings may include a selectively reflective layer comprising superabsorbent particles. The superabsorbent particles may have a relatively higher reflectively when substantially dry and a relatively lower reflectivity when substantially hydrated. When substantially dry, the selectively reflective layer may reflect a first fraction of incident light. When substantially hydrated, the selectively reflective layer may reflect a second fraction of the incident light. The first fraction of the incident light may be greater than the second fraction of the incident light.
