  • Patent number: 8569968
Abstract: A method for adjusting the brightness of a light source is performed according to the status of input voltage which is determined by detecting how and how many times a toggle switch switches state. When a user switches the state of the toggle switch for the first time in order to turn on/off the light, the brightness of the light source gradually increases/decreases within a dimmer period, during which the user may select an appropriate brightness of the light source by giving a swift double-toggle on the toggle switch.

Date of Patent: October 29, 2013
    Assignee: Princeton Technology Corporation

  • Patent number: 8084964
Abstract: A method for adjusting brightness of a light source is provided. A light source with X brightness degrees is provided. The light source is turned on and off at least one time. When the number n of times of turning on the light source is less than or equal to the total number X of brightness degrees, the brightness degree of the light source is determined to be the nth brightness degree. When the number n is greater than the total number X, the brightness degree of the light source is determined to be the mth brightness degree, wherein the number m is equal to a remainder obtained by dividing the number n by the number X, is determined; if the number m is equal to zero, the brightness degree of the light source is determined to be the last brightness degree.

  • Patent number: 7903955
Abstract: A driving device is provided for controlling rotation of a motor. The driving device comprises an inputting module, a comparing module and a processing module. The inputting module includes a first current source, a first voltage source and a first capacitance. The first capacitance is coupled between the first current source and the first voltage source for charging/discharging and generating a voltage signal. The comparing module is coupled to the inputting module for comparing a selecting signal with the voltage signal and generating a comparing signal. The processing module is coupled to the comparing module and generates a control signal according to a clock signal and the comparing signal, wherein the driving device controls the rotation of the motor by the control signal.
