  • Publication number: 20180196682
Abstract: A method modifies a physical device for use by a particular person. One or more processors receive information from a sensor indicating a detection by the sensor of a sequence of actions performed by an unidentified person. The sequence of actions are physical actions performed in a particular order, and the physical actions are disparate types of physical movements performed by the unidentified person. One or more processors compare the sequence of actions performed by the unidentified person a known sequence of actions for a particular person. In response to the sequence of actions performed by the unidentified person matching the known sequence of actions for the particular person, one or more processors identify the unidentified person as the particular person and then modify a physical device for use by the particular person.

  • Patent number: 9940576
Abstract: In an approach to managing images and captions, one or more computer processors receive one or more captured images of including one or more subjects. The one or more computer processors identify the one or more subjects from the first image. The one or more computer processors identify the context of the first image of the one or more captured images containing the one or more subjects. The one or more computer processors analyze one or more social networking histories and relationships associated with the one or more subjects using recognition techniques. The one or more computer processors create one or more captions associated with the first image of the one or more captured images based on the social networking histories and relationships of the one or more subjects and the identified context of the first image of the one or more captured images containing the one or more subjects.

  • Publication number: 20180054657
Abstract: Various embodiments select advertisements for delivery to at least one mass media streaming device at a given location and time slot. Content and corresponding time and physical location information being posted in an online portal from at least one electronic device are obtained. The content is filtered based on time slot and physical location. A set of typical topics for a location and time slot are determined. A subset of advertisements is selected from a set of available advertisements based on the set of typical topics. The subset of advertisements is delivered to the at least one mass media streaming device. The mass media streaming device may be a television. A set of current topics for the location and time slot may be determined and aggregated with the set of typical topics. The subset of advertisements may be selected from the set of available advertisements based on the aggregated set.

  • Publication number: 20170242553
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing app lifecycles on a user device. A user device context is determined and a set of server based apps associated with the context is determined based on the context and a set of conditions associated with server based apps. An indicator for user interface elements for each server based app is sent with the indication of the context. These user interface elements are displayed to a user of the device. In an example, these user interface elements are displayed on a default pane of the device. A user interface element in some examples is able to be selected by a single interaction. Interactions between a user and a user interface for a selected app are received at a. The user interactions are processed to produce results based on the user interface inputs, and the results are sent.

  • Publication number: 20170242711
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing app lifecycles on a user device. A device context and a social context are determined. Based on these contexts and a respective set of context related conditions associated each of at least one server based app, a subset of the available server based apps is selected. A respective indicator of a respective user interface element for each server based app within the set of server based apps is sent. User interface inputs for a selected app within the first set of server based apps are received from the user device. The user interface inputs are processed to produce results based on the user interface inputs and the results are sent. The position of user interface elements for the server based apps is also able to be determined and specified in some examples based on the determined context.
