  • Publication number: 20070092938
Abstract: This invention relates to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome associated coronavirus (SARS virus) isolated and recombinant proteins, in particular the nucleocapsid (N) protein and spike (S) protein, as well as fragments thereof and their use in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The proteins and fragments carry epitopes that are specific for the SARS virus. Thus, detection methods based on these proteins or fragments as well as the monoclonal antibodies against these proteins or fragments are specific for the SARS virus.

  • Publication number: 20060224792
Abstract: An access detector detects an access type of an access to one of a plurality of serial ports interfacing to serial storage devices. The access is intended to one of a plurality of parallel channels interfacing to parallel storage devices via task file registers of the parallel channels. A mapping circuit maps the serial ports to the parallel channels. A state machine emulates a response from the one of the parallel channels based on the access type and the mapped serial ports.

  • Publication number: 20060075164
Abstract: A method and apparatus for entering a mode of a host controller and omitting a state of a state machine sequence of the host controller for data exchange by the host controller are disclosed. For one embodiment, the method and apparatus include setting a bit before a command information is transmitted to a separate device and exchanging data without sending the command information to the separate device. The bit of the embodiment indicates a current task file status.
