Abstract: A wire guide roll for use in wire saws for simultaneously slicing a multiplicity of wafers from a cylindrical workpiece is provided with a coating having a thickness of at least 2 mm and at most 7.5 mm of a material which has a Shore A hardness of at least 60 and at most 99, and which contains a multiplicity of grooves through which the sawing wire is guided, the grooves each having a curved groove base with a radius of curvature which is 0.25-1.6 times the sawing wire diameter, and an aperture angle of 60-130°. A multiplicity of wafers are simultaneously sliced from a cylindrical workpiece by a wire saw using such wire guide rolls.

Abstract: Concentrated, stable suspension of herbicidally active 1,3,5-triazines in a solution of pyridate in organic solvents or mixtures thereof, in which at 0.degree. C. pyridate is at least 10% by weight soluble and the 1,3,5-triazines are at most 1% by weight soluble, together with emulsifiers, as well as its use and a method for controlling weeds.

Abstract: Novel herbicidal N-cyanopyridazinones of the general formula ##STR1## in which the radicals R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of one another denote hydrogen, halogen, amino, nitro, cyano, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxy or aryloxy groups, a process for their preparation, a herbicidal composition comprising them, and a method of controlling weeds.

Abstract: Herbicidal composition which comprises as active ingredients a phenylpyridazine of the formula ##STR1## in which Hal is chlorine or bromine, R is alkyl with up to 12 C-atoms and X and Y are oxygen or sulfur, whereby one of X and Y always is sulfur and 2-{[4-chloro-6-(ethylamino)-S-triazin-2-yl]amino}-2-methylpropionitrile.This composition is particularly used in combating weeds which are difficult to combat and are found in growing cereal crops.

Abstract: Phenylpyridazines of the general formula: ##SPC1##In which Hal is a chlorine or bromine atom, R is a straight-chain or branched alkyl group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms or a phenyl group, and X and Y separately are oxygen or sulphur, but not both oxygen, a process for their preparation and herbicidal compositions containing them.

Abstract: Phenylpyridazine compounds of the general formula ##SPC1##In which Hal is a chlorine or bromine atom and R is a straight-chain or branched alkyl group containing 2 to 20 carbon atoms when Hal is chlorine and 1 to 20 carbon atoms when Hal is bromine, or is the group --OR', wherein R' is an alkyl group of 1 to 18 carbon atoms which may be straight-chain or branched, and which have valuable herbicidal properties.
