  • Patent number: 7093518
Abstract: A tool for tensioning loosening, and opening spring-type clamping elements with two radially outward-projecting actuating arms, the tool including a hand-operable actuating part, a Bowden cable having a bore and a sheath, the Bowden cable being connected to the actuating part, and a tensioning part with two jaws which are able to move relative to each other. Each of the jaws is configured to act on one of the actuating arms, a first one of the jaws being connected to the core, and a second one of the jaws being connected to the sheath of the Bowden cable so that the jaws can be brought toward each other and thus execute a tensioning movement. The actuating part includes a device for automatically locking in a tensioning stroke and a device for feeding the Bowden cable.

  • Patent number: 6591502
Abstract: A tool for cutting out motor vehicle windscreens is described, with a suction cup, a rotating head pivotable on the latter, a cutting wire and a spring between the rotating head and the end of the wire. The spring is a compression spring which is arranged between the rotating head and the inner end of the cutting wire so that the spring is compressed when the cutting wire is pulled, and extends when the wire is released, drawing the wire inwards.

  • Patent number: 6316890
Abstract: A hand-controlled motor-driven oscillating device having an elongate casing, an electric motor having an output shaft, and an oscillating unit having an output shaft and being connected in drive terms to the output shaft of the electric motor. The electric motor and the oscillating motor and the oscillating unit are arranged in the casing in succession in a direction of the longitudinal access of the casing so as to form a grip section and an oscillating head section. The output shaft of the oscillating unit projects out of the casing. The grip section is connected to the oscillating head section so that the grip section can be pivoted, in terms of its angular position, with respect to the oscillating head section and the oscillating unit output shaft.

  • Patent number: 6306023
Abstract: The tool body of the grinding tool consists of a holder for fixing the tool to the oscillating device and a flange of relatively soft, flexible material fixed thereto, supporting the abrasive paper and designed or arranged with axial dimensional flexibility at its outer edge. This results in the advantage that, in particular, increased pressure via the tool edge on the grinding surface is avoided. Very soft and very fine work can thus be carried out, so that when grinding or polishing, for example, an unsatisfactory new finish the defects can be perfectly eliminated by the grinding tool according to the invention and, under these circumstances, the peripheral edge of the tool does not act rigidly on the finish, leaving traces behind.

  • Patent number: 6035505
Abstract: A mounting clamp for holding together metal sheets and a tool for removing the clamp. The clamp has two legs that define a clamping gap that terminates in a bore hole. The free ends of the legs are provided with bevels with an insertion angle of 20.degree. to 40.degree. relative to the clamping gap. The insertion opening has a width that is slightly larger than the width of the widest stack of sheets to be held by the clamp. The clamping gap has a height that is at least three-times the width of the clamping gap. The diameter of the bore hole is at least one-and-one-half times greater than the width of the clamping gap. The removal tool has an insertion pin arranged at one end of a handle part and can be introduced into the bore hole of the clamp with slight play. The insertion pin is provided with a slit that runs in the longitudinal direction of the handle part.

  • Patent number: 5842278
Abstract: A hand-held oscillation machine having, at its front end, an attachment neck for tools. A component such as a flattened hexagon projection and a radial screw, is provided at the rear flat side of the neck for receiving and attaching special tools so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative thereto. An oscillating body/intermediate holder is arranged between the attachment neck and a tool. This provides the advantage that all grinding tools and cutting tools for hand drills can be attached in the intermediate holder and can accordingly be used, and the sturdy, heavy design of the intermediate holder increases the oscillating energy so that greater pressure can be exerted on the workpiece to be machined, which enables faster machining.
