  • Patent number: 9016112
Abstract: A method for determining the moisture content in an absorbent sanitary product, in particular a diaper, incontinence pad or incontinence briefs, or sanitary towel, wherein liquid is first applied to the sanitary product under preferably predetermined conditions and subsequently the article is spread out in a planar fashion. A plurality of zoned measurement areas is defined over the planar extension of the spread-out sanitary article, and a measured value is taken in each measurement area or with respect to each measurement area.

  • Publication number: 20130211366
Abstract: The invention relates to an incontinence article (2) in the form of briefs, with a stomach portion (4), a back portion (6) and extending between these in the longitudinal direction (9), a crotch portion (8) which has an absorption body (7) with longitudinal edges (46) and which overlaps the stomach and back portions in the front and rear overlap regions (36, 38) to form a layered structure (13) in the Z-direction (11) and is attached non-releasably thereto in front and rear connection regions (306, 308). The backsheet material (62) and topsheet material (84) surrounding the absorption body extend in the transverse direction (16) outside the longitudinal edges of the absorption body to form an overhang (66a, 66b), which amounts in total to at least 25% relative to a maximum width (E) of the crotch portion. The overhang in each case has first regions (65a, 65a?, 65b, 65b?), which extend inside the overlap regions.

  • Patent number: 6669676
Abstract: The invention relates to a hygiene article, with an individual wrapping. The wrapping comprises a longitudinal section of a tubular, flatly folded strip provided with a flat side forming an outer side, and which forms an inner side of the wrapping, and having a longitudinal axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the hygiene article. One longitudinal end is sealed in liquid-tight manner, and the other end is open or can be opened. The hygiene article is laid on the flat inner side of the longitudinal section of the tubular strip, and is folded onto itself together with the longitudinal section around two transversal axes. Longitudinal edges of the longitudinal section are detachably connected to one another to hold the hygiene article in a folded configuration inside the wrapping, to be able to remove the article from the wrapping before use, for disposing of the article, and to be able to insert the same into the open end of the longitudinal section after use.
