  • Patent number: 11794907
Abstract: A blade for a rotor of a hover-capable aircraft is described comprising: a main body with a first outer surface; and a de-icing system for removing ice; the de-icing system, in turn, comprises: a first layer formed by a shape-memory material activatable so as to alter its shape according to a temperature-associable quantity, which is arranged on at least one outer surface of the main body; the de-icing system is characterized in that it comprises a second covering layer, which defines at least a portion of a second outer surface of the blade on which ice deposits; the second layer laid on top of the first layer on the opposite side of the main body is selectively movable under the action of the first layer so as to exert a mechanical action on the ice and remove it from the blade, and is adapted to protect the first layer from external agents.

  • Publication number: 20230050072
Abstract: A rotor for an aircraft is described having: a support angularly fixed with respect to an axis and housing a power source; a unit rotatable about axis and housing an electrical load of the resistive type; and a power supply system for the electrical load and comprising: a first transformer electrically interposed between the power source and the load; the first transformer comprises: a first winding arranged on the support and a second winding arranged on the unit, a stator carried by the support, rotationally fixed with respect to axis and to which the first winding is fixed; and a rotor operatively connected to the unit and to which the second winding is fixed; the power supply system comprises a capacitive circuit electrically connected to the first transformer, so as to reduce the reactive power absorbed by the rotary transformer.

  • Patent number: 8944383
Abstract: An aircraft having a fuselage and a detecting device for detecting the presence of ice caused by solidification of supercooled liquid droplets having a characteristic dimension above a threshold value. The detecting device has a preferential first portion for accumulating the droplets, and the preferential first portion is located so as to be visible from inside the fuselage.
