Publication number: 20220036137Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for detecting anomalies in an unlabeled data set of data records is provided. The method applies a classification method to a training data set obtained from the unlabeled data set to generate a classification model associating a predicted output class to each training data record. The predicted output class is compared with the original output class, in order to detect an anomalous data record in the presence of a discrepancy between the original and the predicted output class. The method may assign a confidence score to the predicted output class by the classification model, wherein the anomalous data record is detected on the basis of a threshold of the confidence score. For example, the classification method may be based on Boolean functions synthesis by a Shadow Clustering algorithm, and the classification model is in the form of a set of conditional rules.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2018Publication date: February 3, 2022Inventors: Marco Muselli, Massimiliano Costacurta, Damiano Verda, Enrico Ferrari

Publication number: 20170079631Abstract: A closure device, specifically an occlusion device for heart surgery procedures, e.g., transapical aortic valve implantation, comprises first and second disks (2, 3) having first and second enlarged diameter flange portions (25, 35) adapted to be placed proximate either end of an apical hole in a patient's heart wall, and first and second shoulder portions (20, 30) adapted to be placed within the apical hole near either end. A central waist portion (4) extends between the first and second disks (2, 3) along a center axis (A) of the device and is adapted to extend through the apical hole and interconnect the first and second disks (2, 3), while urging the disks (2, 3) toward one another when in the mounted condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2016Publication date: March 23, 2017Inventors: Enrico FERRARI, Ziye SUI, Yongsen YANG

Patent number: 9336087Abstract: Fault tolerant operation is disclosed for a primary match server of a financial exchange using an active copy-cat instance, a.k.a. backup match server, that mirrors operations in the primary match server, but only after those operations have successfully completed in the primary match server. Fault tolerant logic monitors inputs and outputs of the primary match server and gates those inputs to the backup match server once a given input has been processed. The outputs of the backup match server are then compared with the outputs of the primary match server to ensure correct operation. The disclosed embodiments further relate to fault tolerant failover mechanism allowing the backup match server to take over for the primary match server in a fault situation wherein the primary and backup match servers are loosely coupled, i.e. they need not be aware that they are operating in a fault tolerant environment.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2014Date of Patent: May 10, 2016Assignee: Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc.Inventors: Paul J. Callaway, Robert C. Hagemann, III, Zuber Shethwala, Troy Reece, Paul A. Bauerschmidt, Enrico Ferrari, Barry L. Galster
