  • Publication number: 20230100873
Abstract: An apparatus includes a first processor to be communicatively coupled to a main memory having instructions stored therein. The first processor is to execute the instructions to assign a first tag to a plurality of granules in a first portion of memory allocated for an offloaded function invoked by a module running on a second processor, detect an exception raised for a tag check failure for a memory access operation based on a first memory address in the first portion of the memory, and update a modified address list to include information associated with the first memory address. The instructions are executed further to synchronize, based on the modified address list, a second portion of the memory allocated to the module with the first portion of the memory.

  • Publication number: 20160303407
Abstract: A worker safety device for use with an object having a person support surface, the device comprising: a hinged device frame positionable on said object; a frame fastener coupled to the device frame configured to detachably fasten the device frame to the object; an attachment means, attached to the device frame, configured and positioned to attach a personal harness system to the device frame; whereby a person on said surface using the hinged device frame can prevent a fall from said surface by attaching the personal harness to the attachment means.

  • Patent number: 6241799
Abstract: The present invention discloses a sintered cemented carbide alloy with excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. The alloy comprises 70-98 weight-% hard material essentially comprising WC in a monophase binder phase. It has been found that by the use of submicron WC the corrosion and oxidation resistance can be improved compared to known corrosion and oxidation resistant cemented carbide alloys.

  • Patent number: 6033735
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of coating cemented carbide inserts at least partly with a layer of at least one iron group metal. When inserts coated with such a layer are brazed to a tool holder, a joint with improved strength is obtained. According to the present method, one or more metal salts of at least one iron group metal containing organic groups are dissolved and complex bound in at least one polar solvent with at least one complex former comprising functional groups in the form of OH or NR.sub.3 (R.dbd.H or alkyl). A soluble carbon source is added to the solution which is subsequently at least partly applied to the cemented carbide inserts by dipping, spraying or painting. The inserts are dried and heat treated in an inert and/or reducing atmosphere. As a result, cemented carbide inserts are obtained at least partly coated with a layer of an iron group metal.

  • Patent number: 5925197
Abstract: A sintered hard alloy for tools for cutting wood. The alloy according to the present invention comprises 30-98 volume % hard constituents in a binder phase based on nickel and/or cobalt. The hard constituents comprise oxides, carbides, nitrides and/or borides of Al, Zr, Si and/or Ti, preferably Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, ZrC, ZrO.sub.2, SiC, Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 and/or TiB.sub.2 with a mean grain size <1.5 .mu.m, preferably <1.0 .mu.m. The binder phase comprises in solution, in weight %, Co max 90, Ni max 90, Cr 5-45.
