Abstract: Products having the general formula A, particularly useful as non-coloring markers in a process for tagging mineral oils, petroleum derivatives in general and solvents. A method is also described for synthesizing the products by resorting to a classical diazocoupling reaction between a derivative of an aromatic amine and a coupling agent, preferably a functionalized ester. The invention also relates to the use of these tagging and dyeing molecules and mixtures which comprise them. In particular, the mixtures comprise the markers according to the invention and the markers and/or dyes classically used in the petroleum sector.

Abstract: Amino azoic dyes having general formula (I) wherein: R1 is linear or branched alkyl having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms; R2 and R3 are independently H, CH3, C2H5, OCH3 or OC2H5; R4 and R5 are independently H, CH3 or C2H5; X is H or OH; and Y is hydrogen or poly-isopropxy chain (IA) wherein n is between 1 and 4. Abstract: Artificial marble or granite having excellent aesthetic properties, patterns and tonalities which cannot be found in natural materials are prepared from a composition containing a polymerizable poly(allyl carbonate) of a polyol and mineral filler, where the mineral filler is a carbonate type in the case of marble, and silicate or silica type in the case of granite, and is in the form of particles of which at least 40% to 100% by weight have a particle size greater than 0.5 mm. The artificial marble and granite produced by the process of the invention require a limited quantity of polymerizable poly(allyl carbonate) binder, have excellent aesthetic properties and high aging resistance, making them suitable for external use.

Abstract: Azo dyes which are highly soluble in organic solvents are disclosed. The dyes have the general formula ##STR1## in which M = 1 TO 3;n = 1 or 2;X = h or NO.sub.2 ;Y = h, cl, NO.sub.2, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy radicals containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms;Z and Z' = H, Cl, lower alkyl or alkoxy radicals containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or lower acylamine groups;R' = alkyl or ##STR2## R" = H, or a lower alkyl radical containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R'" = an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl radical.The aromatic nuclei A, B, and C may have other water-insoluble substituents.Organic solvent solutions of the azo dyes are provided, as are, also, processes for obtaining the dyes.
