  • Patent number: 11572777
Abstract: A self-adapting digital twin of a wellbore environment can be created. The self-adapting digital twin incorporates a standalone Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF) module with a constant parameter digital twin developed for a fixed environment. The standalone EnKF module receives streaming measurement data from multiple sensors and prediction data from the digital twin and executes the standalone EnKF module using the streaming measurement data and the prediction data from the digital twin. The results of executing the standalone EnKF module are input parameter corrections for the digital twin that are communicated to the digital twin. Output predictions of the digital twin are used to modify operational parameters of an oil or gas recovery process.

  • Patent number: 11199501
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for transmitting a light such that it is incident on a multi-layer stack, wherein the multi-layer stack includes the feature and a region without the feature, detecting a narrow-band light from the feature and the region without the feature, wherein the feature has a first optical response in response to a wavelength of the narrow-band light and the region without the feature has a second optical response in response to the wavelength of the narrow-band light, and generating, based on the narrow-band light, an image indicative of where the first optical response and the second optical response occur on the multi-layer stack.

  • Patent number: 7878450
Abstract: An emergency floatation system for attachment to a helicopter that includes a support frame, a float pack assembly and an inflation system. The float pack assembly includes a float in a packed configuration, a sleeve integrated into the float and a rigid support that at least partially extends through the sleeve. The float pack assembly is configured so that it may be installed and/or removed from the support frame separate from the inflation system.

  • Patent number: 7589278
Abstract: An emergency power supply for an electrical device that provides power sufficient to operate the emergency flotation system for a predetermined period of time after a malfunction of a primary power source. The emergency power supply includes at least one capacitor and a control circuit that are disposed in a housing that is sealed to prevent ingress of liquids. The emergency power supply remains functional even when it is partially submerged.

  • Patent number: 7280914
Abstract: An instrumented navigation system for aiding a towboat and barge configuration in the entry and traversal of a lock located on a waterway or for navigation around other structures, such as bridge piers or docks. The system consists of wirelessly linked computers on the towboat and the lock which display navigational charts showing the position of the tows as they approach and enter the locks. The computers are also linked to sensors which send information, such as the speed and position of the tows, to the computers for display.
