Abstract: The present invention relates a method for the use of a product with propyl propane thiosulfonate (PTSO), whose purpose is the treatment and/or prophylaxis of malignant neoplasms such as solid cancers and myeloproliferative syndromes in humans. In a preferred embodiment, the method includes the selection of the PTSO compound which general formula is R-SOa-S-R, where “R” represents the n-propyl group (—CH2—CH2—CH3) and “a” is 2.

The method includes administering to the aquatic animal a compound comprising propyl propane thiosulfonate (PTSO) having the formula R—SOa-S—R, where R represents n-propyl group (—CH2—CH2—CH3) and a is 2 and also propyl propane thiosulfinate (PTS) having the formula R—SOa-S—R, where R represents n-propyl group (—CH2—CH2—CH3) and a is 1, so that a combination of PTS and PTSO is administered to the aquatic animal resulting in the reduction of a plurality of crustaceans infecting the aquatic animal in response to administering the combination of PTS and PTSO to the aquatic animal.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to utilization of antimicrobial agents derived from plants of the alliaceae family for the prevention and control of crop diseases, post-harvest rotting and as environmental disinfection products. The agents include propyl propylthiosulfinate and propyl propylthiosulfonate compounds for pre- and post-harvest treatments, control of rotting in fruits and vegetables; disinfection of agricultural soils, control of microorganisms, environmental disinfection in agricultural processing industries, facilities and equipment, disinfection of food containers and boxes.
