  • Patent number: 11873919
Abstract: An actuation ball valve has an elongated knob which replaces prior art quarter turn valves. The knob comprises a thread that runs along a cylindrical portion of the knob, wherein the nut has a corresponding cut-out for the thread. This helps the knob move/slide in and out of the nut. The knob and nut are designed so that a specific distance can be covered in a quarter turn, as the valve moves from its horizontal (OFF) position to its vertical (ON) position. The knob and nut can be modified to travel various distances at different degrees of turn to actuate the system being controlled. The knob has a cut-out at the bottom which is used to insert one or more washers and a self-threading screw to stop the rotation of the knob with respect to the nut at it moves out in the OFF position.

  • Patent number: 6990993
Abstract: A vacuum drainage system operable to remove waste from a source. The system includes an accumulator in fluid communication with the source and a substantially vertical riser having a first portion in fluid communication with the accumulator and a second portion downstream of the first portion and in fluid communication with a vacuum source. A first valve is disposed between the first portion and the second portion. The first valve is selectively operable to provide fluid communication between the first portion and the vacuum source. An air inlet is disposed a distance downstream of the first valve and is selectively operable to provide fluid communication between the outside atmosphere and the second portion.

  • Patent number: 6837258
Abstract: A sealed liquid accumulator for accumulating a liquid in a box which is sealed to prevent the escape of odors from the interior of the box. The accumulator has an outlet tube for evacuating liquid from the interior of the box by way of a vacuum. A source of replacement air is supplied to the box through a controlled valve.

  • Patent number: 6684902
Abstract: An accumulator for collecting a volume of a liquid, which includes controls to permit the liquid to rise in a container to a preset upper level, at which level a drain valve is opened causing liquid to flow out of the accumulator. The accumulator utilizes two opened bottom pipes, which are connected through check valves to a controller. The controller is sensitive to the pressure at its inlet port. The pipes are interconnected so that when the liquid reaches an upper level, the pressure at the controller is sufficient to open the drain valve, and once the accumulator is almost empty, the drain valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 6311718
Abstract: An activator valve for providing a time temporary vacuum at an output port which is normally at atmospheric pressure. The timed vacuum is provided in response to an increase in air pressure in an interruptible vacuum chamber, such as that by briefly opening the valve between the outside of the valve and the interruptible vacuum chamber. When this pressure increases, a diaphragm holding a magnet moves downwardly attracting a ferro-magnetic disk upwardly. The ferro-magnetic disk opens a valve between the output port and a main vacuum source port. This causes a vacuum to be drawn at the output port, which in turn operates a remote device which the activator valve is controlling. When the source of outside air to the interruptible vacuum chamber is closed the outside air is then drawn from the interruptible vacuum chamber, causing the magnet to once again rise and release the ferro-magnetic member, closing the valve between the main source of vacuum and the output port.
