  • Patent number: 10398748
Abstract: The present invention relates to the combination of organic acid salts with at least one active ingredient of plant origin, preferably essential oils, partially protected with vegetable fats and/or oils, which prevent these active ingredients from being digested by stomach enzymes during the digestive process. The sodium salts of short-chain acids, preferably salts of butyric, acid are preferred. The preferred essential oils are ginger, piperine, oregano, garlic, thymol, carvacrol, cinnamaldehyde and/or any combinations thereof. The combination of organic acid salts and the essential oils protected with vegetable fats and/or oils, are used as powerful promoters or stimulants for animal growth, as organic bactericides against pathogenic bacteria present in said animals and as modulators of immune response thereof.

  • Patent number: 9422179
Abstract: Procedure using zeolite, clinoptilolite type in an upflow anaerobic reactor and sludge blanket (UASBs) in order to obtain granular active sludge, thereby improving the density of the sludge, and thereby, their settling properties, and increase of biomass within reactor by immobilizing microorganisms, to achieve an increase in the efficiency of the removal of organic material and the production of biogas (60-70% methane) in more than 20% over the same type reactor used so far without zeolite, enabling the use of such reactor for treating wastewater with a high concentration of proteins, amino acids and other nitrogen compounds and which prevents the accumulation of nitrogen, which is toxic to the process by allowing zeolite-clinoptilolite, the exchange with alkali and alkaline earth found in specific points of the crystal structure of clinoptilolite by ammonia nitrogen, and also preventing the development of filamentous bacteria, which are difficult to hold up within the reactor and reduces its efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20160128358
Abstract: The invention addresses a new synthetic method, in a single reaction or in a double reaction, of compositions for animal feeding which comprise organic acid salts selected from formic, lactic, propionic, butyric, valerianic, lauric, benzoic, caprylic or capric acid, protected with soaps rich in fatty acids present in vegetable fats. The invention further describes the compositions themselves for animal feeding which comprise the salts of said organic acids protected with soaps, their use in animal feeding, in particular in monogastric animals and the food or feed itself which comprises the compositions described in the invention.

  • Publication number: 20090297686
Abstract: Procedure for producing calcium, sodium or magnesium fatty acid soaps or vegetable or animal soapstocks and their use as nutrients in monogastric animal feeds. This procedure makes it possible to add glycerol, glycerol plus emulsifier or emulsifier to soaps, and simplifying the process by making the addition in the same production process. The use of these soaps in monogastric animals, such as pigs and fowl, decreases feeding costs compared to the use of whole fats (triglycerides) commonly used in the nutrition of monogastrics. The soaps are obtained in powder or granular form which is an advantage as regards currently giving it in liquid form.

  • Publication number: 20090220638
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing calcium soaps for animal feed. The invention consists of a novel process for producing calcium soaps, comprising the saponification of fats and natural oils with CaO, in which the reaction mass is heated and subjected to reduced pressure. In this way, calcium soaps with a fatty acid content of more than 80% can be obtained without requiring any subsequent washing or concentration process. Said high fatty acid content renders the soaps particularly suitable for use as a component of animal feed. The applicability of said soaps for feed for monogastric animals is improved by adding glycerol and/or another emulsifying agent during the soap production process.

  • Patent number: 7550504
Abstract: A process for preparing a feed supplement that promotes growth in animals by (i) preparing a dry metal carboxylate of formula M(RCOOH)2; (ii) preparing a metal aminoate; and (iii) mixing the dry metal carboxylate and the metal aminoate under conditions that form a complex including the metal carboxylate and the metal aminoate and water, then removing the water to form a dry metal complex of the metal carboxylate and the metal aminoate. When administered to an animal in its feed, a bioavailability of the divalent metal in the dry metal complex is different than the bioavailability of the divalent metal in either the dry metal carboxylate or the metal aminoate alone.

  • Publication number: 20090131702
Abstract: A method of production of metal carboxylates and of their metal carboxylate-aminoate or metal carboxylate-methioninate hydroxy analog derivatives, and their use as growth promoters in animal nutrition. It comprises mixing stoichiometric quantities of formic or butyric acid and oxide and of the dry basic salt of divalent metal, the oxide or hydroxide of Zn2+ or Cu2+, to give an exothermic reaction, without addiction of solvents, giving rise to a dry carboxylate of divalent metal that is easy to use. It also describes the use of a stage of mixing with metal aminoates or hydroxy analogs of methionine in the process, for forming either a carboxylate-aminoate of divalent metal or a carboxylate-methioninate hydroxy analog of divalent metal, products that are finally obtained in a dry form that is easy to use.
