Abstract: A shared feed reader for multiple users and a method for sharing feed reading are provided which provide group collaboration features. The shared feed reader includes a server including a processor hosting the shared feed reader for remote access by multiple users, and a user interface for each of the multiple users including an aggregator of web feeds subscribed to by the user. The shared feed reader includes: a mechanism for defining a group of users, wherein web feeds subscribed to by users in the group are exposed to the other users in the group; and a mechanism for sharing a read status of a web feed post across the group, wherein the read status indicates which users have read the post. The shared feed reader may also include a mechanism for receiving a meta-feed of meta-posts, wherein meta-feeds and meta-posts relate to activities of users in the group on shared feeds and posts.

The system includes a processor configured to receive email information relating to foreign countries that a user communicates with, calculate based on the email information a respective count for each foreign country, and compare the respective count to a threshold. The processor is also configured to offer the user an option to add foreign holidays corresponding to a particular foreign country to the computer application when the respective count for the particular foreign country exceeds the threshold, and offer the user an option to specify a different country than an actual originating country. The respective count is respectively calculated for the actual originating country and for the different country to allow consideration of both a home country as the different country and a visiting country as the actual originating country for a particular individual.

Abstract: A novel and useful system and method for a collaborative correction framework that allows external applications to interface to it in a manner that will serve specific correction goals. The framework is extendable, enabling registration of additional authorized applications to the framework. These additional registered applications are then available to other applications accessing the framework. The collaborative correction system maintains profiles for both corrective tasks and users. When assigning a task to a user the collaborative correction system finds an appropriate match by comparing their respective profiles.

Abstract: A method and system for navigation of an audio or a video file are provided. The method includes providing an audio or video file and generating text associated with the file. This may include one or more of: transcripts of audio content, extraction of text from video content, associating text with the audio or video content, including user tagging of the file. A plurality of phrases from the text for the file are displayed in a phrase cloud, with emphasis of a displayed phrase to indicate the relevance of the phrase in a predefined section of the file. The phrase cloud is animated to show changes in the emphasizing during progression through the file.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for browsing the elements in a display. The method includes displaying a first set of elements in a first browse line with the first set of elements ordered in a total or partial order in the first browse line. An input of a selection of an element from the first set of elements is received and the method includes displaying a subsequent set of elements with an association with the selected element. The association of the subsequent set of elements may have no order between the elements, a partial order, or a total order. The elements have content and metadata for determining if they belong to one or more of the sets of elements. An element from the subsequent set of elements can be selected to display a further subsequent set of elements. In this way, browsing can be achieved through groups of associated elements.
