  • Publication number: 20240022458
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for optimizing transmitter equalization are described. An example technique includes capturing a single output signal transmitted from a port on at least one channel of a host device. An impulse response of the channel is determined based at least in part on the single output signal. A transmitter feedforward equalization (FFE) is generated, based at least in part on the impulse response of the channel. The transmitter FFE is applied to the channel of the port of the host device.

  • Patent number: 10382087
Abstract: An integrated circuit. The integrated circuit comprises an analog transmit chain, an analog receive chain, a processor coupled to the analog transmit and receive chains, and a non-transitory storage coupled to the processor and storing executable code. When executed by the processor, the executable code causes the processor to cause a portion of a radio frequency (RF) signal to be transmitted by the analog transmit chain, to determine a first direct current (DC) voltage of a baseband signal provided by the analog receive chain, to cause a DC voltage offset to be input into the analog transmit chain, to determine a second DC voltage of another baseband signal provided by the analog receive chain, to determine a DC voltage offset compensation based on the first and second DC voltages and the DC voltage offset, and to cause the DC voltage offset compensation to be used to transmit signals.

  • Patent number: 9246530
Abstract: A communication device includes a DC input component, a transmitting component an envelope detecting component, a receiving component, a storage component and a comparator. The DC input component generates a first direct current signal and a second direct current signal. The transmitting component generates a first transmitted signal based on the first direct current signal and a second transmitted signal based on the second direct current signal. The envelope detecting component generates a first envelope signal based on the first transmitted signal and generates a second envelope signal based on the second transmitted signal. The receiving component generates a first received signal based on the first envelope signal and a second received signal based on the second envelope signal. The storage component has a priori information stored therein. The comparator outputs a correlation signal based on the first received signal, the second received signal and the a priori information.

  • Patent number: 8244198
Abstract: Apparatus and methods disclosed herein operate to determine a base oscillator frequency and a frequency conversion factor associated with a radio receiver local oscillator (LO). Base oscillator frequency and frequency conversion parameters are selected such that spurious harmonics created within the LO lie outside of communication bands associated with other active radio receivers substantially collocated with the LO. An LO chain including the appropriate base oscillator and frequency conversion components is selected from a switched set of base oscillator/frequency converter pairs.

  • Publication number: 20110032027
Abstract: A low power bandgap reference circuit for retention mode in system on chips (SoCs). A switched bandgap reference includes bandgap reference circuit coupled to a storage capacitor through a switch. A logic having a set of control signals controls the switch and the bandgap reference circuit such that during a retention mode the bandgap reference circuit and the switch are active for a first time interval in response to the set of control signals to recharge the storage capacitor and then inactive for a second time interval in response to the set of control signals that decouples the bandgap reference circuit from the storage capacitor. The charge stored in the storage capacitor is used to generate a reference voltage.
