Abstract: A windscreen wiper device including an elastic, elongated carrier element and an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material that can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped is provided. The wiper blade includes longitudinal grooves on its longitudinal sides, and spaced-apart longitudinal strips of the carrier element are disposed in the longitudinal grooves. Neighboring ends of the longitudinal strips are interconnected with one another by a respective connecting piece. The windscreen wiper device also includes a connecting device for attachment with an oscillating wiper arm. At least one of the connecting pieces includes an opening, and the wiper blade permanently extends through the opening and beyond the connecting piece.
