Abstract: A stretching device for stretching of a tire chain, particularly an anti-skid chain. The stretching device comprises a stretching spring, a stretching aggregate for stretching the spring and a stretching element for maintaining an associated tire chain in a stretched position when the spring is stretched. The stretching device eliminates the need for adjusting the tire chain to compensate for slack caused by revolution of the wheels carrying the tire chain.

Abstract: A tire chain having annular links and C-shaped links which are hooked into said annular links wherein one of the ends of the C-shaped link has a cross section which is decreased at the expense of its width thereby defining an introduction slot. The annular link has at least one narrowing whose shape corresponds to the shape of the end of the C-shaped link with the reduced cross section and retaining elements for the C-shaped link are provided in the narrowing. The retention elements are provided in the narrowings to prevent disconnection of the joined links.

Abstract: A tire or similar chain shackle connector having an inlet for receiving links to be connected, the end of the chain at one side of the inlet being solid and at the other side having holes for receiving a connector, and a closure member having a recess for receiving the solid end of the shackle and apertures or holes at the other end of the closure member through which the connector can be inserted.
