  • Patent number: 7064283
Abstract: A device is for fixing a circuit breaker in an insertion rack. The device includes at least one arresting unit which is connected to the insertion rack and belongs to the power circuit breaker. The arresting unit is connected to a control rod which is movably arranged on the insertion rack in such a way that it is displaceable from a locking position to an unlocking position and vice-versa. The control rod interacts with a system which moves the power circuit breaker in relation to the insertion rack. The device also includes a release device which can be displaced from the locking position of the control rod to the releasing position thereof and vice-versa by way of the power circuit breaker.

  • Patent number: 7034233
Abstract: A device is for controlling the movement of a blocking mechanism in an electric switch which is displaceably arranged in a switch cell. The device includes a push element and an oblique surface, whereby the oblique surface extends in the fitting position of the device in the direction of the travel of the switch and the push element can be maintained in a displaceable manner dependent on the position of a door of the switch cell in the switch cell. The push element co-operates with the oblique surface, acting on the blocking mechanism in such a way that the blocking mechanism is located in a release position when the door is closed and in a blocking position when the door is open. The device can be constructed in a simple manner by virtue of the fact that the oblique surface is inclined in a perpendicular position with respect to the direction of travel of the switch and the displacement path of the push element extends in a transversal manner with respect to the direction of travel.

  • Patent number: 6902409
Abstract: A retrofittable earthling device includes a first contact arranged on the switching device and a second contact arranged on the module frame by way of a contact carrier. They are adjacently spring-mounted, during the movement of the switching device from its point of separation into its operating position. In order to relieve the contact carrier, in one such device, of electrodynamic effects and thus to make the same easy to assemble, the contact carrier includes a first partial region for connecting an earthing device, and a second partial region which can be connected to the second contact, in addition to a contact strip connecting the two partial regions. The first partial region can be connected to the module frame in a fixed manner and the second partial region is held on the rear wall of the module frame, with transversal play in relation to the direction of movement of the switching device.

  • Patent number: 6838626
Abstract: An electric switch includes a drive shaft that can be actuated by means of a hand crank and a blocking mechanism for blocking actuation of the drive shaft. The hand crank has a shaft that can be displaced along the drive shaft and that is protected against removal by the drive shaft and a crank arm that is axially fixed on the shaft and is wound by the shaft. In order to configure that blocking mechanism in such a way that a blocking force substantially smaller in comparison with the torque of the drive shaft is needed in order to block actuation of the drive shaft, a recess is provided on the front side of the switch, into which the crank arm can be lowered in an anti-rotational manner by displacing the shaft, wherein the blocking mechanism that has been activated for blocking fixes the shaft axially once the crank arm has been lowered into the recess.

  • Publication number: 20040129545
Abstract: The invention relates to a protective unit (4) to prevent contact with conductive contacts (3) in a withdrawable rack (1) of a switching device. Said unit comprises at least one displaceable protective plate (6) and a lever arrangement (9, 12 and 23) for operating the protective plate (6). Said lever arrangement ha, two levers (9 and 12) that are interconnected in an articulated manner, of which a first lever (9) can be operated by means of the switching device and the second lever (12) is coupled to the mobile protective plate (6).

  • Publication number: 20040112722
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric switch (102) having a drive shaft (7) that can be actuated by means of a hand crank (5) and a blocking mechanism for blocking actuation of the drive shaft (7) the hand crank (5) has a shaft (6) that can be displaced along the drive shaft (3) and that is, protected against removal by the drive shaft (6) and a crank arm (7) that is axially fixed on the shaft (6) and is wound by the shaft. In order to configure the blocking mechanism in such a way that a blocking force substantially smaller in comparison with the torque of the drive shaft is needed in order to block actuation of the drive shaft (3), a recess (14) is provided on the front side (104) of the switch (102), into which the crank arm (7) can be lowered in anti-rotational manner by displacing the shaft (6), wherein the blocking mechanism that has been activated for blocking fixes the shaft (5) actually once the crank arm (7) has been lowered into the recess (14).

  • Patent number: 6100778
Abstract: A movably disposed circuit breaker has a blow-out attenuator for cooling and deionizing switching gases escaping from an arc quenching chamber. The blow-out attenuator is composed of two telescopically interlocking sub-members. The one sub-member is fixedly arranged, while the other sub-member rests with a sealing surface on a mouth surface of the arc quenching chamber. Due to the two-part design of the blow-out attenuator, the switching-gas pressure improves the sealing action between the arc quenching chambers and the blow-out attenuator.

  • Patent number: 5807145
Abstract: A break-contact block includes two identical half-housings that have compartments formed by partitions to accommodate bridge-like contacts and respective springs. Two foot sections with projections in different arrangements make it possible to maintain a smaller spacing or a larger spacing depending on the relative positions of the two half-housings that are joined together. This makes it possible to manufacture break-contact blocks for thick or thin busbars using identical parts.
