    Abstract: A method and system for workflow scheduling and forecasting is disclosed. The method may include automatically generating a predicted workforce schedule for a work tour period, such as a period of several weeks or months, and populating the workforce schedule with workforce members based on prioritized work tour preferences received from the workforce members. A current workload assessment may then be applied to the populated workforce schedule based on current assignment availability and predicted workload for later in the current day. The system may include a workload database, A workforce scheduling server, and a workload allocation server. The workload database contains currently available assignments and historical workload levels and a business rule database containing workforce hours requirements. The workforce scheduling server generates a workforce schedule that the workload allocation server uses to distribute existing, and predict future, tasks among the scheduled workforce.

    Abstract: A method and system for providing a workflow integrated troubleshooting tool. The system may include a central workflow server from which network technicians may obtain trouble tickets and with which the technician may analyze and solve problems identified in the trouble tickets. The workflow server may automatically provide recommended workflows to technicians with step-by-step guidance instructions accompanied by relevant links to appropriate diagnostic software tools. The workflow server mediates between formats of information from a customer database and from any of a number of diagnostic software applications. The method may include permitting a technician centralized login and authentication to each of a number of separate diagnostic tools, prioritization of trouble tickets and automated workflow suggestions and testing through a common graphic user interface.

    Abstract: A trouble ticket monitoring system includes an Internet enabled and Web-based graphical user interface (GUI) to trouble ticket workload management systems such as legacy WFAC, WFADO, and WFADI systems. A dashboard application implements the GUI to essentially enable everything that can be done on WFA systems to be able to be done using the GUI. The dashboard application interacts with legacy WFA systems for both trouble ticket reporting and interactive trouble ticket functions while presenting a simple user interface. Point and click functionality provided by the dashboard application for users allows for reporting or maintenance functions to be performed with a minium of typing or knowledge of the WFA systems. The dashboard application is a server based rather than client based approach to trouble ticketing generation and monitoring. The dashboard application combines reports and queries from the WFA systems to present an overview of all maintenance operations in one location.
