  • Patent number: 9792015
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing a system for visualizing items and conversations in a communication application. Conversations are presented as a list of items in the communication application. A quantity of presented items is limited based on a size of a client device employed for viewing the items. Visualizations are applied to the presented items to attempt to maximize a number of items that are presented while providing information about the items to enable a user to preview content and take actions on the items. The visualizations include different templates applied to each item based on a type of item and content associated with the item, and the templates may be are dynamically updated based on user interactions with the items. The templates for items are determined by applying a set of rules and factors to each item to determine a most appropriate visualization for each item.

  • Patent number: 4842222
Abstract: A load carrying and releasing pendular device for attachment to a kite string and release the load on jerking on the kite string. The device is fixedly attached to the kite string at an upper location. The device is also releasably coupled to the kite string at a second lower location. The kite string is releasable from coupling to the device at the second location by jerking on the string of the kite. The device assumes a first raised position when it is coupled to the kite string both at the first upper location and at the second lower location. On jerking the kite string, the string becomes released at the second lower position and the device pivots from the first raised position to a second lower position. This pivoting of the device, providing movement of portions of the device, relative to the kite string causes the release of the load releasably carried by the device.

  • Patent number: 4705239
Abstract: A toy parachute is disclosed for attachment to a kite string and for after travelling up the string and contacting stop means being released from the string for free flight to the ground. The toy includes a carrier which is slidable up and down the kite string coaxially disposed thereabout. The parachute is releasably coupled to the carrier by a novel split sleeve member having a central aperature into which the upper end of the carrier may be inserted. The split sleeve member has a major slot throughout its length which permits the kite string to pass therethrough on uncoupling of the split sleeve from the carrier so as to release the parachute toy from the kite string.
