  • Patent number: 8002247
Abstract: The present invention is a quartz bubbler container with cross purge capability. This cross purge allows the user to easily purge air and chemical from the valve inlet and outlet by simply flowing inert gas, and avoids the requirement for a more complicated vacuum purging apparatus. The design incorporates two small footprint 3-way valves mounted on the bubbler container inlet and outlet connectors. The 3rd port of each valve is piped together between the valves with a crosspurge line. The valves are corrosion resistant, leak free, maintenance free, non-leaching of impurities, and can accommodate an optional breakseal crusher that will perforate quartz break seals (on the inlet and outlet of ampoule). Liquid out containers of various materials of construction are also contemplated.

  • Publication number: 20080064910
Abstract: Processes for making xylene employ catalysts containing rhenium and a molecular sieve component comprising an acidic MFI molecular sieve having a Si/Al2 molar ratio of less than about 80 and mordenite to provide a transalkylation product with a low content of benzene co-boilers. The invention encompasses the use of sulfided catalyst embodiments in xylene production processes.

  • Publication number: 20070272346
Abstract: A system and method for wrapping fabric around a mandrel including providing a drum of fabric and a mandrel, removing a portion of the fabric from the drum and securing the fabric to the mandrel, rotating the mandrel such that the fabric wraps around the mandrel, and applying pressure to the fabric as the fabric is being wrapped around the mandrel to consolidate the fabric about the mandrel.

  • Publication number: 20060152947
Abstract: A single stage switch mode power converter receives a supply line voltage and a supply line current from a power supply line, and provides one or more regulated output voltages for a load, such as an amplifier. The power converter is operable to regulate the output voltage(s) using a controller that includes a voltage controlled current loop. The controller can enable substantially constant supply line current to be drawn from the power supply line by selectively allowing conduction of the supply line current through the power converter. A power factor of the supply line voltage and the supply line current may be optimized by the controller at medium to high power levels thereby maximizing the power provided to the switch mode power converter from the power supply line. Due to the adaptive nature of the controller, the power converter can operate over a wide range of supply line voltage.

  • Patent number: 5971940
Abstract: A biopsy forceps having a proximal end and a distal end. The biopsy forceps includes a handle at the proximal end of the biopsy forceps. The handle includes a body portion and an actuator axially displaceable relative to the body portion. The biopsy forceps further includes an end effector assembly at the distal end of the biopsy forceps. The end effector assembly includes a pair of opposed end effectors operable between an open position and a closed position. A catheter portion connects the handle to the end effector assembly so that axial displacement of the actuator relative to the body portion causes the end effectors to move between the open position and the closed position. The handle is shaped to receive the catheter portion to lock the end effectors in the open position.
