  • Publication number: 20190237187
Abstract: A mobile device application for measuring actual wait times experienced by patients of doctors or other medical service providers. A patient launches the application on the mobile device, views available service providers and selects a provider. The patient starts the clock for the selected service provider when the wait begins, and stops the clock when the wait ends. At this time or after the visit, the patient can post their actual wait time, a star-based rating and comments for other patients to view on the application or on a web page equivalent. The patient must be within a GPS-verified geofence around the provider's office in order for the wait time to be considered valid. An integrated real-time messaging application used during surgical procedures is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190228477
Abstract: A configurable automated system preprocesses weather and agronomic data to provide a yield forecast model for a target crop in an identified region. The system considers data typically excluded based on biases of a human operator and/or considers data otherwise not considered to be relevant and/or a powerful predictor by a person having ordinary skill in the art. The system builds predictive models through a variety of statistical approaches, selects and validates candidate models, and operates validated models that output in-season forecasts in a production environment.

  • Publication number: 20180200829
Abstract: A friction stir welded component includes a channel body having a main surface and an elongated channel formed in the main surface. The elongated channel has a first depth portion that is longitudinally spanned by shoulders having a second depth, the second depth being shallower than the first depth. The body further has an abutting face that connects the main surface with one of the shoulders at an oblique angle relative to the main surface. A channel cover with an abutting face is seated against the abutting face of the channel body. A friction stir weld joint joins the channel cover to the channel body, wherein the friction stir weld joint is defined along abutting faces of the channel body and channel cover.

  • Patent number: 8639458
Abstract: Described are techniques for selecting options used with current sensor data characterizing vibration caused by rotating blades. Sets of other sensor data are evaluated to determine a first of the sets of other sensor data that is a best match for said current sensor data. Each of the sets of other sensor data is associated with one of a plurality of option sets. Each option set includes options used in determining one or more adjustments that may be applied to the blades to reduce vibration. The one or more sets of other sensor data are evaluated to determine a first of the sets of other sensor data that is a best match for said current sensor data. A first of the plurality of option sets associated with said first set of sensor data is used in determining adjustment(s) that may be applied to the blades.
